25.01.2022 It's been a hectic time over the past few months, with 2 great projects, one finished and once almost there! These photos are from the finished project in Upwey, and were sent by the wonderful owners Kate and Paul. Thanks guys! We started off by gutting the existing master and raising an extension to allow for a new master bedroom, a walk-though robe and an ensuite. A hallway with built-in linen closet provides privacy and tranquility to the bedroom.

25.01.2022 A large carport in Upwey with a very organic shape to fit the available space. Squares and rectangles are easier to build, but we live in the hills right?

22.01.2022 No job is too small! Chook houses and garden beds- no problem!

21.01.2022 Demolition Dave sent me the link to his video blasting in Tecoma. Thanks Dave! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTT_7rxAxGE

20.01.2022 This is a covered deck extension we completed in Upwey. Merbau decking and traditional balustrade.

20.01.2022 So the extension in Tecoma fought back during the excavation stage. I got a call from Jaret of Dandenong Ranges Earthmoving to say that "I dont think well be able to use an auger for the stump holes here". Understatement of the year! Turned out to be some of the rockiest ground around as the photos will show. We finally had to call in Demolition Dave for the final three holes, and managed to set the stumps just before Christmas. Tomorrow were cladding the last wall. On the home stretch now! Stay tuned for some final pics.

19.01.2022 On to Belgrave heights: a tired old bbq area needed replacing with something more modern. This meant a new retaining wall, deck, walls incorporating recycled glazing, and a roof with exposed trusses. LaserLite sheeting lets in plenty of light.

15.01.2022 A big thanks to Julie of Julie Abreu Photography for this amazing video of a recent granny flat renovation. www.julieabreuphotography.com 0421 572 274, or [email protected]

14.01.2022 Some remedial work on a timber house in Mt Dandenong. One side of the house copped the weather far worse and had a lot of rot, but a weeks work later, its as good as new.

13.01.2022 I enjoy building bathrooms. I love the opportunities a bathroom affords its designer and I love bringing those designs to life. I also like comparing before and after photos! This one was in Menzies Creek.

11.01.2022 This Upwey bathroom was just completed. No knocking down walls, just creating more space with a better layout and getting rid of the all-too-common corner spa.

09.01.2022 Another project in Menzies Creek. Amongst a bunch of things, I needed to remove a wall to open up the living/dining area. This meant the hole in the floor where the wall was needed to be repaired, so new ash was sourced and keyed in. A sand and polish later and you cant even tell!

06.01.2022 Its a bit of a challenge to find time to keep this page up to date, but here goes! This was my last project in Stanthorpe, Queensland before my little family and I packed up to move to Upwey, Victoria! This project involved building a 144m2 house out of a 70m2 shed. Plenty of challenges combining old and new, but a great build and most importantly, happy clients! Thanks Tim and Kate! The utility room isnt much to look at, but being an off-grid house, this battery/inverter room is where all the action is.
