08.01.2022 Bushfire Relief, Recovery and Prevention Initiative. Like most of Australia we have been lost for words at the current bushfire crisis that has devastated our country. In a tripartite partnership with ASN Events, Cumberland Lorne and all Lorne Series Conference Committees (Proteomics, Proteins, Cancer, Genome, and Infection & Immunity) we have pledged to donate $1 per delegate for each attendee over the 5 conferences held in February at Cumberland Lorne. Our $1 will be mat...ched by ASN Events and Cumberland Lorne, anticipating $5,000 in donations from the 1600 delegates attending across the 2 weeks of conferencing. These funds will be donated directly to Lorne CFA who work tirelessly to protect the area in which these conferences are held. Whilst they have not been affected by the current 2020 bushfires the funds will be used to assist with planning & prevention of future fire events and we are proud to support and give something back to those who have protected us, and their community, for so many years in the regional town of Lorne, Victoria. Delegates will also have the opportunity to donate directly via cash collection tins at the conference registration desk during the 2 weeks. Thank you ASN Events for wanting to support our local CFA.

By doing so we estimate to save 73,000 + single use items per year from landfill, an environmental initiative we have been working on for some time now.
