20.01.2022 Hi everyone, after careful consideration I have decided I am closing down the caravan park section of my business from next year, including the RV friendly area. I have spent a huge amount of funds on infrastructure and local government costs (rates etc) on this area for very limited returns and an increasingly higher amount of work. Work doesn't worry me, but I need a better return on the work than three months of the year. More and more caravaners are getting self contained... and want cheaper prices with more entertainment included in the rate, unfortunately I do not have the time to this, and I admire those that do. The returns go no-where close to meeting the costs, and as a business person, I have to make the hard decisions. So from 2021, I am focusing on cabins and workers accommodation. I am putting in a 12 metre pool and bbq area for in-house guests and next year I will be putting more workers accommodation in where the caravan drive=thru sites are. They will be rooms with tv's, fridges, ac, and large beds, without bathrooms, as they will use the ensuites for their bathrooms. This will keep the rates down for pedestal costs. I think I could offer these for approx. $55 per night, and hopefully open a market up for bike tours, schools etc. We have some great Caravan Parks here in Cunnamulla who are doing a tremendous job at catering for this market, but after three years I have decided it's not for me. Don't feel like this is a negative as I see it as a positive, move forward and make something work that hasn't been too date. See more

I have prin...ters, mattresses etc that I can't ask people to buy but are still usable. Put them out on the footpath and if no one picks them up by Sunday arvo take to dump. Who's keen? See more

05.01.2022 Thank you to these great guys and girls from the 1st regiment Royal Australian Artillery, got me out of a bit of a financial hole during Covid, have been great to have, and presented me with an engraved 105mm cartridge case from a M2A2 Howitzer. The same gun their unit used in the battle of Long Tan.
