23.01.2022 This event was such a success I decided to run it again in February. Tickets available through the Balanced website (link below). See you there!

22.01.2022 Carl Jung was on to something. I’ve always felt a calling to search for something more. But as I glide through 31, swiftly approaching 32 I can attest the calling gets greater with every passing day.

21.01.2022 Everything is fascia. Interesting read.

19.01.2022 This made my day on Saturday!

18.01.2022 It’s not always about going to the deepest point, sometimes it’s about sitting in the moments of resistance and enjoying it. Dancer has long been a favourite. What other pose makes you feel strong, graceful, weightless, and open?

15.01.2022 MENTAL HEALTH This week is Mental Health Week in Australia. I live with depression and anxiety. It’s been part of my life, part of me, for as long as I can remember. One of the main reasons I have stuck with yoga for so long, and a big part of why I became a teacher, is the mental balance and stability this practice brings. So, if you also live with depression, anxiety, or any other mental health challenge I want to say two things: 1. SPEAK OUT. Talk about it. Help end t...he stigma. 2. Know that I am a resource. There is help out there, people care, and it is ok to ask for help. See more

15.01.2022 Put your phone down and go for a walk (after you read this article). As they say, Silence is golden.

13.01.2022 If anyone is interested in taking part it’s a short survey to begin.

12.01.2022 This is sounds advice for anyone, not just those in the 50+ category.

12.01.2022 PRACTICE This practice can be exhilarating and frustrating all at the same time. I’ve decided to challenge myself and work on headstands. My first reaction was to critique my form, BUT instead I chose to celebrate the accomplishment of holding myself off the wall- however brief.

12.01.2022 We're traveling to the US next week. Which means LOTS of plane time. *Recommend a book to read.*We're traveling to the US next week. Which means LOTS of plane time. *Recommend a book to read.*

10.01.2022 Interesting (but not surprising) findings in this annual report re: loneliness and home.

08.01.2022 This course needs two spots filled to go ahead. Over three Sundays in Nov. Come learn.

07.01.2022 Expect minimal posting because I’ll be enjoying every moment!

07.01.2022 FUNDAMENTALS SATURDAY 10am I love my Fundamentals class at Power Yoga Canberra on Saturday morning. The class isn’t just for beginners, it is for anyone curious about asana, Pranayama, and wanting to make their practice fit their body. We start each class by checking in- with our body and with our breath. ... Yesterday we covered Warrior II, Side Angle, Reverse Warrior, (the dreaded) Plank, and Dolphin for forearm stand prep. Each class is assisted , so you get one-on-one attention in each pose. Next week CHATURANGA, and a few others. Come join!

06.01.2022 These are seven fantastic tips from my beautiful friend Eva Schafroth Have a read and see how these may be added to your daily routine.

06.01.2022 I got up this morning and had a 15 min little movement yoga sesh. Then my body was calling to just SIT. Breathe. Listen. Admittedly, this is not my morning every day. As much as I’m trying to create a morning ritual those 4:30am starts keep throwing me off. So, I enjoy it even more when I do start this way. HAVE A GREAT TUESDAY!

06.01.2022 MOBILITY As youths, often we take our mobility for granted. It’s typically only when something goes wrong we start to notice our restrictions, but what if we could begin to pay attention before that? I’m working on using core and muscle strength to come to stand without the use of my hands. Sounds easy right? Not so much. Give it a try and see how you go. ... (Rogue Yogi Challenge)
