23.01.2022 Philosophy of holistic healers: "the holistic physician strives to identify and resolve disturbances to health by supporting the body's inherent capacity to maintain optimal function" -Litchy A 2011

22.01.2022 Assalamu alaykum For those who haven't booked in a follow up appointment- please do. Treatment is only effective if you are diligent. The first 3 treatments should be every month for the first 3 mnths unless i have specified to you otherwise.

21.01.2022 Cupping (hijama) is a cure for every disease if performed in its correct time. The Messenger (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said, "Indeed in cupping (hijama) there is a cure." [Saheeh Muslim (5706)]. The Messenger (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said, "Whoever performs cupping (hijama) on the 17th, 19th or 21st day (of the Islamic, lunar month) then it is a cure for every disease." [Saheeh Sunan abi Dawud (3861)].

17.01.2022 The causation of a myriad of diseases, pains and ailments are due to the blood being unable to reach certain parts of the body. Wet cupping (hijama) and dry massaging cupping (hijama) allow the blood to reach these places preventing toxic build up and relieving inflammation already present.

15.01.2022 If anyone is scared and wondering "how can I trust this person with my body?" That's a valid concern and a concern one should adopt with all aspects of their life. A little about me: I'm a qualified DIV II nurse. I've completed my certificate in cupping therapy and I am also a final year Naturopathic student. :) I've treated a variety of conditions- stress, detox, high blood pressure patients and more.

13.01.2022 Some possible hijama points.

11.01.2022 Some possible hijama points

10.01.2022 Common questions and answers 1- Aren't I meant to do it on the Sunnah days? The Prophet Muhamad SAW used to recommend Hijama on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays only. And on the 17th, 19th and 21st of every month. Cupping (hijama) is a cure for every disease if performed in its correct time. The Messenger SAW said, "Whoever performs cupping (hijama) on the 17th, 19th or 21stday (of the Islamic, lunar month) then it is a cure for every disease." [Saheeh Sunan abi Dawud (3861)].... Ibn Umar R.A reported that the Messenger SAW said, "Cupping (hijama) on an empty stomach is best. In it is a cure and a blessing. It improves the intellect and the memory. So cup yourselves with the blessing of Allah on Thursday. Keep away from cupping (hijama) on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday to be safe. Perform cupping (hijama) on Monday and Tuesday for it is the day that Allah saved Ayoub from a trial. He was inflicted with the trial on Wednesday. You will not find leprosy except (by being cupped) on Wednesday or Wednesday night." [Saheeh Sunan ibn Maajah (3487)]. 2- I'm scared to do it, does it hurt? I always tell my patients that pain level varies, because everyones pain threshold is different. However, in my experience it mostly it feels like scratches on the surface of the skin. The cuts are superficial so infection along with proper hygiene is extremely minimal. 3- What about if I take medication? Patients the caution are those with high or low blood pressure and those with diabetes. Hijama reduces blood sugar levels and blood pressure so upon consultation we will advise on the proper protocols with regards to certain medications. 4- Can I do Hijama if I'm fasting? Although I've been asked this and answered that the Prophet SAW himself used to do it whilst fasting, people are "told" by other friends of family members it is not permitted. Both sides of the argument are addressed here, so put your minds at ease. Anas ibn Maalik R.A was asked: "Did you dislike cupping for the fasting person?"He said, "No except for the reason of one becoming weak." [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (1940)]. This hadeeth which causes confusion is the following: "The cupper and the one being cupped have broken their fast." [Saheeh see Irwaa al-Ghaleel (931)]. This is because the hadeeth is abrogated as Sheikh al-Albaani and ibn Hazm (may Allah have mercy upon them) showed by the following hadeeth: Abu Sa'eed al-Khudhree R.A said, "The Messenger SAW validated cupping for the fasting person." [Saheeh see Irwaa al-Ghaleel (4/74)].

08.01.2022 I have been told by some Hijama practitioners that Hijama may reduce Iron haemoglobin levels in patients and may cause anaemia if overused- however studies have shown that this is not the case at all and there is no correlation between anaemia and hijama.
