24.01.2022 We did a little road trip from Anaheim to the Grand Canyon with a stop over in Las Vegas. What should have been a straight forward 4 1/2 hour trip turned into an 18 hour trip. A cold front came through dumping heavy snow and ice meaning that major roads were now closed. A lot of the first leg was now done after sunset so we missed quite a lot of the country side.

11.01.2022 To see so much snow was surprising, we had planned to be there just after Christmas and to have snow, but this much was unbelievable.
08.01.2022 Williams is a city in northern Arizona. It's known as a gateway to Grand Canyon National Park via the Grand Canyon Railway. Historic Route 66 has Americana-style shops and restaurants dating back to the early 1900s. As the roads were closed to the Grand Canyon Village Williams became our overnight stop. Such a beautiful old town. We arrived late afternoon and it was like setting into a movie set. The next morning when we woke it was only -12c outside. An amazing experience and fond memories that will remain with me for ever.
