18.01.2022 These are some photos of hair ups I did when I was an apprentice many years ago!!! When I was an apprentice I would never stand around twiddling my thumbs, waiting for something to do. I'd get out the manequins and practice, practice, practice. I refused to have any Bobby pins showing, I didn't want any hairs out of place, and the style had to be perfect before I moved on to the next thing. ... My boss would tell me to practice perfectionism and I admired him so much and wanted to be like him and have the clients love me like they loved him. I still to this day consider him to be one of my biggest role models in my life and my success today comes from the great opportunities I had learning in his salon. I now have the chance to teach my beautiful apprentice Kira, and sweet school based trainee Sophie the things my old boss once taught me. And this makes my heart smile. It makes me happy to teach what I know. I want the girls to make you all feel the way I make you feel. And to give you that amazing style to leave you feeling fresh and good about your self again. I love my business and am proud of what I have achieved. Even through all this crap that's going on, I still somehow have found the motivation to keep going and push on through. 15.01.2022 Two years ago I was celebrating with some of my best friends about opening my own salon! Look how far we have come..... From working full time by myself, then I found my amazing apprentice Kira who has been my right hand man the whole time, to now having a full Team of beautiful girls!!! And the clientele has grown beyond our control! ... I can't say 2020 has been a complete ride off, as I have still seen significant growth this year compared to 2019, even considering I was off work at the start of the year with a fractured thumb for two months AND had to close for a quarter of the year due to covid! Can't wait for 2021 to watch and help things grow even more

15.01.2022 Sorry I havnt posted all week! I have been busy busy playing with my daughter and doing loads of behind the scenes stuff for the business!!! What a great opportunity to catch up on everything so we can come back better and stronger The staff and I will be doing lots of training over Skype to prepare for the crazy busy months ahead!!... 13.01.2022 I know alot of you have been thinking about maybe going darker for this period, or just chucking on a packet dye, whatever it is, have a think about the following first: - if you colour your hair darker, "temporarily" remember even with just one application with a darker colour over your blonde hair, it could take 6-12 months to get you back to a clean, crisp light blonde. - the "8 wash rinses" from the supermarket, generally stain the hair and still leave part of that colou...r in your hair for much longer - what you see is NOT what you get when you are looking at the gorgeous blonde on the front of your $12 box colour you just got from coles. - tints throw off warmth! So if you have blonde hair and think you can put a blonde tint over your regrowth, think again! You will have blonde ends and ginger/gold/orange roots!! - if you stuff up your hair at home remember we can't help you to fix it till November!! So you will be stuck with even worse hair for ages!!! - if you colour your hair darker, this then turns into a colour correction when you return to the salon to take you back blonde, it can take several sittings to even get you back to blonde and much more $$$ for you to have to spend for one mistake. It can also be very very damaging to take you back blonde! - If you are wondering if you will regret it or not, you will. Just saying!! - colours can also interact with products that you already have in your hair, for eg, silicones that are in some conditioners, This can cause chemical reaction with the colour as it processes, causing the hair to melt and snap off. - remember you are not an expert. We study and train for years, and without the professional advice on what to do with your hair, we do not reccomend to colour your hair at home. - if you use these chemicals on your hair you do not know how they will react with your hair, so even if you follow the instructions on the packet do not be surprised if you are devistated with the results! I will only ever give honest advice to you all because I love you, and want the best for your hair!!! Ladies I know this is a crap time. I know your colours are looking lifeless and your regrowth is driving you nuts. But please please please message us before you think about doing anything to your hair. 12.01.2022 Hey everyone! So after alot of thought, I think it's best I cancel everyone's appointments and I will contact you later in October to rebook. Unfortunately the 26th of Oct is the expected date, but as we all know, this very well may change! ... So I have generated a list of the existing appointments IN ORDER that they were booked, to make things fare, and will contact everyone in order, to reschedule at an appropriate time. Existing appointments get first priority and anyone else to contact me will be added on to the bottom of the list in order. I can assure you, we will be able to fit you all in before Christmas, we will have extra staff on and be working extra hours to cover everyone but would appreciate your flexibility in seeing another stylist other that myself (Sarah) for at least part of your service to make sure everyone is covered and I'm not completely run off my feet! Also a reminder I have our full retail stock at home and are processing orders every couple of days so if you need anything please reach out and support us even more. 11.01.2022 Have you got a natural wave or curl in your hair? These are my go to products to wear my hair natural, and I LOVE my hair like this. Pop the products through wet hair after you have washed it, let your hair dry naturally or scrunch dry with a diffuser (mine is 100% dried naturally, no heat tools used!)... PM us for orders!!

09.01.2022 I can't even explain how amazing this beautiful colour turned out! Unfortunately we forgot to take a before photo, but basically our lovely client decided to start growing out her colour in lockdown, and believe it or not, the roots/top part of this hair, is her natural colour!!! We bleached the ends up lighter and toned them to match the roots and it was the perfect match We were both so thrilled with the results

08.01.2022 Some of you know how much I have experimented with colour on my own hair this year! I have been peach, copper, rose gold, beige, and dusty violet, all in the space of 6 months!!! But most of these colours have just been toning shampoos!... They last in the hair a few washes and then fade off the hair, but they can definitely build up in the hair the more you use them! They can help maintain your colour if you have had a fashion shade at your appointment. And best part is, if you don't like it, they eventually wash out of the hair! Bellow are some pics of some of the coloured shampoos that we have in stock so if you are keen to pop something slightly different over your blonde, this is a fun easy way to do it! 05.01.2022 Did you know? Heat tools and washing your hair in very hot water, can strip out your hair colour/toner?! Alot of my clients know I tell you off if you hair been straightening your hair too much!!!... Number one, it can be very damaging and number two, it can strip out your colour if you have your irons on too hot!!! If you like to straighten or curl your hair, make sure you: -Use a heat protectant spray/cream EVERY time before you iron or curl your hair. -Try not to have your heat tools on over 200 degrees. -Do not hold your irons in the same spot for too long. -When blow drying, hold the heat close to your hair, but not directly into the hair. -Make sure you are using a good quality professional heat tool. Also if you like long, hot showers, you can either wash your hair separately in a sink with cooler water, or try to just make the water slightly cooler when you rinse out shampoo/or conditioner. You can also finish with a cold wash to really seal closed the cuticle (which is the outer layer of the hair) for extra shine and softness. 04.01.2022 CURLS How long do they last in your hair for? What tool do you use to curl? What products do you put in your hair? I took photos of my hair 4 days in a row (curled my hair on day one)... All I did each morning wash BRUSH my hair, and as you can see, it's still nice and wavey by day 4!!! No other heat tools or products were used after day 1 when I styled it. I used the amazing MUK curl stick, heat protectant and hairspray Prep your hair correctly, and you can acheive these results too!
