18.01.2022 "Fire is the test of gold, adversity the test of humans". This summer has certainly presented testing times for many people in our Purebred Dog community but it has also brought us together. The ANKC (Dogs Victoria) held a Virtual Show to raise funds for members who were adversely affected by the fires. With more than 1300 entries and many generous donations from all over the world, a grand total of over $31,000 was raised. Thank you to the CCR Kennels that supported this event - Curlbrook, Dizzyki and Kalonakurl with entries (a total of 7 curlies entered) and Cutecurl for their donation. We are proud to be a part of such a caring community.

It has been a difficult start to the new decade for many Australians with the horrific fires across our drought ravages country...we send our love and prayers to all who have been affected by the fires and hope that the rain has headed your way to bring some relief. Thank you to the brave men and women who have faced thse fires with courage and determination - our rural fire services are nothing short of amazing. Stay safe everyone.
13.01.2022 One of the great positives of the horrific start to summer in Australia has been the amazing community support shown for those affected by the fires across Australia....sadly, some of our own Curly community have also been impacted by these fires. For our members who particpate in Conformation Shows PLEASE support the Dogs Victoria Bush Fire Victims Virtual Show. This show aims to support our fellow ANKC members who have been affected by the fires. Please go to www.easydogentries.com to show your support by either entering your dogs or making a donation.
12.01.2022 The CCRAV regret to announce that we will not be in attendance at The Dogs Big Day Out this year (Sunday December 8th, KCC Park). With only a small number of dedicated (but very busy!) people on our committee we just could not stretch that far this year. We wish all of our members a safe, peaceful and joyous Christmas and look forward to seeing you all at our next event early in 2020. Enjoy time with your family, friends and curlies!
10.01.2022 Sending warmest wishes to our Curly community far and wide and hoping that you are all staying safe in the current situation with COVID19. Regrettably quite a few of our curly events have been postponed or cancelled until further notice, this includes: 1. Melbourne Dog Lovers Show - which has now been postponed until later in the year (November). Thank you to all of those wonderful volunteers who already put their hands up for the Dog Lovers Show - we will be in contact as s...oon as the new arrangements are in place. 2. CCRAV AGM and Fun Day at Kepala - new date TBA once we have a clearer idea of when restrictions will be reduced or lifted.
10.01.2022 It is always great to catch up with one of our interstate members - Cassie and Elissa enjoyed sharing an afternoon of curly fun with Paddy, Yindi and Gracie at Kepala Pet Resort today. The pool was a clear favourite! Happy travels back to the Northern territory Cassie!

06.01.2022 One of the great blessings of this difficult time is the connections we can still make with our wonderful Curly community around the world. Well done to the International group Curly Friends who ran a virtual show so that we could all share our lovely curlies. Congratulations to all the winners but especially our Aussie curly winners.....2nd Place Golden Oldie Rambles and Jayne Stickler from Tasmania, 2nd Place Open Dog Buc and Marilyn Cook from Victoria and in the top 12 of the Flash Movement Class Hugo and Teagan Hinks from South Australia. Given there was a huge number of entries we are delighted that our lovely Australian curlies were so well represented.
