24.01.2022 Sadie McBride and Gayle Robinson joined the friendly Tiaro Group for a Maxine Thompson pastel workshop last weekend. The group were fortunate to receive a RADF grant. We had a very enjoyable time thanks Kerry and team.

23.01.2022 The art group celebrates our members’ birthday and today we wished Jona a happy birthday for last week for her special day!
22.01.2022 For the month of September, our artist member is Ralph Gustaffson who recently celebrated his birthday and has been a valued member for the group. Ralph enjoys art and craft making bark huts, venetian blinds recycled into boats and has made several PVC garden ornaments.

20.01.2022 Di is an accomplished artist painting in various media. Examples of oil, acrylic, pen and an experienced potter and craft Di was a cordon bleu chef and excellent caterer. Di paints from memory and enjoys her friendship with other members.
18.01.2022 We had a full house today with all members happy doing their thing. while social distancing. It was really nice to have Sandra and Keith join us. Pauline was very proud to show her latest finished painting.
17.01.2022 Jo the owner of the Dinner Bell has welcomed the Curra Art Group to display their paintings so have a coffee and lunch and admire at the IGA shopping centre.
16.01.2022 Our artist for the month of November 2020 is Shirley McLean. Shirley is a wonderful watercolour artist at heart. You feel you can go into her paintings with the details she adds.
14.01.2022 During the Covid times we are meeting at individual member's residences (outside) or outings in the fresh air. All food and drink are members own responsibility, Socialising still in a safe way.
14.01.2022 The art members split the day today some painted on at the hall and others kicked their heels up at the Theebine Hotel. Jan was part of the fashion parade, Carol excited with her winnings, Ron and Di enjoying being there, Sadie and Glenda had a few drinks, great singing and eats. Well done Theebine Hotel for a memorable Melbourne Cup 2020.

13.01.2022 "Dot", Dorothy King is our artist of the month of October 2020. Dot's happy personality shows in her lovely paintings. The following are in acrylic and titles are "Serenity", "Bird of Paradise", "The Bluff", "The Rock Pools Mothar Mountain", "Yabba Creek" and "The Rattler".
13.01.2022 At art today 17.11.20, Jona shared her painting of a Tucan with real feathers. There certainly was a variety of inspirational painting activity happening today amongst the group.
12.01.2022 Christmas celebrations held at the Curra Community Hall ends 2020 with good cheer.
11.01.2022 In addition to Di's collage workshop Gayle did a frame and will be inserting another picture here but as she can see this is titled "I've been Framed" for a joke.
09.01.2022 The Glenwood Art Group gave us the opportunity to be part of the workshop. Very enjoyable and learnt alot of tips. With thanks to a RADF grant.
09.01.2022 Di Yates explained and supplied photos, and frames and her expertise with collaging paintings for the group today. Di has many years of painting in different mediums at a high standard and sold as well as gives generously to others. Many thanks from all members Di.
08.01.2022 Sadie McBride happily paints with the Curra Art Group and even more so now in retirement. She has a general interest in subjects as you can admire here.
08.01.2022 What is the group doing during the Covid 19. "The toilet roll saga and the mystery solved, Ralph has painted the culprits -'DUNG BEETLES'". 2 colour paintings... Thanks to Ralph, Sadie, Carol, Di, Gayle, Pauline.
05.01.2022 Jan one of our fellow members of the group showing the fundamentals of silk painting. We are compiling a list of future interesting projects.
03.01.2022 Artist for the month is Carol Dunn who is a founding member of our group and is still actively involved for the Curra Community so we thank Carol and she will celebrate her work over the two months of December and January. Carol's passion is painting with oils but also uses acrylics. Carol would like to share some profound words by a past member, Mr Peter Brittain who said about painting that they were "Thoughts in Colour".
03.01.2022 A lazy Saturday morning tea at Amamoor waiting for the Rattler to arrive with sketch pads ready . The winners of the Melbourne Cup Sweep were announced - Viv, Di 1, Ralph as well as the end of line winner who was Shirley with a can of sardines. Good laugh and then food at the Click Clack Restaurant where we were well looked after. A Covid safe Rattler arrived and nice to see so many enjoying the train ride and buying from the market stalls.
02.01.2022 The group celebrated Ralph's birthday today and he received a special self standing handmade card, lucky scratchie and cake.
02.01.2022 A very casual Christmas gathering to mark the end of this year’s art days for 2019. Best wishes to all.
02.01.2022 The group were fascinated with the diversity by means of application of colour resulting in a myriad of outcomes to expand on by individual members. With thanks to a RADF grant and to Carol for making the application for the members to enjoy.
