12.01.2022 Explore the Towamba River right at your front door The Towamba River runs along our boundary at Currajong Common, positioned right below our safari tents. This beautiful river flows 86km through New South Wales including extensive parts of the South East National Park emptying into Twofold Bay.... With a large catchment area Towamba River experiences extremes in drought and flood, which sometimes floods the access to the town. In these times we like to sit back and enjoy the rain as many farmers do. The sounds of the river flowing below your tent will become familiar during your stay at Currajong Retreat.

09.01.2022 As we prepare to say goodbye to another year and cheers to 2021, we reflect on the past year and how grateful we are despite all of the challenges we all faced during 2020 About 2020... This time last year we prepared for the biggest natural disaster of our lifetime -- spending hours fire proofing our beautiful property in anticipation of the NSW/VIC border fire, we swapped the bubbly for fire hoses and sprinklers In the end after 38 days we made it untouched ... Despite this challenge we continued the build of our glamping tents with the amazing help of the guys at @ecologichomes With COVID forcing travel to cease worldwide our future plans had to shift in big ways. As we put the finished touches on the interiors of our tent we were grateful for the extra time until NSW travel ban was lifted. And in July 2020 Currajong Retreat opened its doors to our immediate neighbours in New South Wales We have enjoyed being part of the #holidayherethisyear campaign and being part of tourisms discovery of our own backyard #lovensw We want to thank all of our guests who came to support us in those beginning days. When no-one knew who we were or what we had to offer. When there were no reviews just a vision from humble beginnings on an Angora goat farm Through everything we continue to learn and improve this place that we cherish, 2020 was a major year for us as a family and we are proud of what we have accomplished.
