25.01.2022 Just for fun, we invented the Currawong Lakes "Slam". To have their name adorn the honour board, the fly-fisher must catch at least one fish from each lake in the same day. Congratulations Rose, the first female on the board and the first Slam of the 20/21 season!

25.01.2022 Great review of Tasmania's private fisheries and lodges https://flylife.com.au/articles/travel/stay-play-in-tasmania

24.01.2022 Some shots from this week's "weather event".

23.01.2022 Couldn't resist posting this gracious review.

22.01.2022 A nice panorama of Currawong Lakes. You can see the sea top right, Coles bay and the Hazards.

21.01.2022 Meryn with her first dry fly fish. Brilliant!

21.01.2022 Some more sequences from last week's waterfall attempts.

21.01.2022 Action focused programs that foster life-changing memories. Supporting men’s mental health for The Fly Program happens out here. No distractions, it’s organic and so are our conversations.

19.01.2022 Hats off to our friends and partners at FlyLife Magazine for their generous gesture associated with the World Fly Fishing Championships. With the World Champio...nships in Tasmania just around the corner, FlyLife's Tasmanian Special Edition is a celebration of Tasmanian fly fishing, as it has been explored in previous issues of FlyLife. While not an exhaustive compilation, the selection of articles reflects the diversity of the trout fisheries, the environment and the approaches to enjoying them. We hope you enjoy this complementary issue - that's right, it's free!! Just click on their link below. It's also available on Flylife's Ipad and Android apps. And, of course, don't forget to visit https://www.troutguidestasmania.com.au/ to find a guide, a lodge or one of our affiliate partners to help you make your experience of Tasmanian trout fishing more rewarding. https://flylife.com.au/flyli/tasmanian-special-edition-2019

19.01.2022 With its string of gorgeous lakes, Currawong Lakes is the best and most "natural" private trout fishery I've encountered anywhere on earth. Jo and I love the pl...ace. Now Currawong is hosting a series of two-day clinics run in conjunction with FlyLife Magazine that are sure to not only be heaps of fun, but turn you into a much better stillwater fly fisher. Check them out here: https://flylife.com.au/clinics See more

17.01.2022 What makes Currawong Lakes special is our stock of wild brown trout. This years rain has come at the perfect time for brown trout spawning. The fish have overcome some big obstacles to get this far up one of the minor tributaries on the property. Amazing to see hundreds and hundreds of fish doing what comes naturally.

13.01.2022 Rose at it yet again!

12.01.2022 With fab friends at Currawong Lakes... Playing, feasting, walking, clay-pigeon shooting, sipping, roasting marshmallows, relaxing. Beautiful Tasmania and all just around the corner! Discover Tasmania East Coast Tasmania

11.01.2022 We only allow fly fishing on our beautiful lakes. So while this qualifies, it's a bit rediculous :) The great men and women of the Tasmanian Fire Service have been dipping into Long Marsh Lake to douse the fires over toward Swansea. Great work, and please release any fish you catch.

09.01.2022 Peter and Karen Brooks (Driftwater) delivered the most fantastic drift boat to us today. We can't thank them enough for letting Currawong Lakes be its next home.
