11.01.2022 Currumbin valley community church is launching Currumbin Angels As a community we have a strong community spirit and now it is our time to shine. The young people of our community church have come up with an idea to help the older and more fragile members of our beautiful community during this virus crisis. As we all know , people over 60 years of age are more at risk from developing complications and severe illness from this Corona virus and as such it is advisable that t...hey isolate themselves in their homes. Young people appear to be much less at risk of getting this illness Our older community members are so important to us So we would like to offer all people living in our community the service of these young people to help. These are our Currumbin angels If you are in this age group and live in our community and in need of someone to shop for you, collect medications or help in another way so you can remain safe in your home, the young people of the Currumbin valley community church are offering this service. There is no charge . How it will work 1. Make a list of what you need and call the Currumbin valley church on 0412 204 208 or home 0755330533 2. We will have a young person collect this for you using medical gloves and mask and drop this at your front door 3. We will leave the receipt at your door and then we ask you to transfer the money into our account afterwards simply to cover what we purchased on your behalf 4. Please note because of the demand, we can do this for every person in need once a week and look forward to helping you

04.01.2022 I am sorry to announce that we have decided to cancel our weekly meditation classes for now because we don’t want to risk spreading any sickness to the vulnerable . We look forward to when we can begin again and we know that this will pass one day and we will again enjoy seeing all your lovely faces . In the meantime if you are feeling anxious and would like us to pray for you privately , please message us and we would be most happy to do that
