25.01.2022 With our usual ANZAC day commemorations not going ahead, the recognition and remembrance will remain high on the agenda for Saturday April 25th this year. In su...pport of the RSL Queensland Light Up The Dawn campaign at 6am to remember all those who have served and sacrificed, the following fly past will occur from 5:45am. Organised by Brad Bishopp (Fighter Pilot Adventure Flights), Peter Long (Air Gold Coast) & Roger Collins (Currumbin RSL Sub Branch). A Mk-XVI Spitfire and P-51D Mustang will fly from Archerfield passing over cenotaphs across South East Queensland. The CT4-A Airtrainer A19-037 owned and operated by Philip Munro and a CAC Winjeel A85-429 by Mark Awad both of Classic Aero Adventure Flights Ballina will fly up from Ballina up the coast across the Currumbin Beach as usual in recognition of all that served. Please note these are all private flights. More details and schedule to come. So whether you're at home out on your driveway or balcony with a candle or light in your hand you can feel connected with this significant display as they fly across South East Queensland. Look up, look forward and remember the ANZAC as their spirit fills the air on this special day. Also remember we will be streaming a service on ANZAC Day at 11am through our social channels.

21.01.2022 The Currumbin RSL is proud to host a pre-recorded ANZAC Day service this year. We never imagined we wouldn't be able to hold our iconic ANZAC Day commemorations..., that had months of preparation. Whilst we may not be able to stand together as we usually would, the recognition and remembrance will remain high on the agenda. Our thoughts are with the ex-servicemen and women and those currently serving, who are at the heart of ANZAC day commemorations each year. No matter what comes our way, as a nation, ANZAC Day will always be ANZAC Day. Please join by watching this service from the comfort and safety of your own home. Currumbin RSL wish to thank: Ron Workman OAM Past President Michael Humphreys President Mark Simpson Bagpipes Adam Turner Bugle John Williamson ‘True Blue’ Thank you for watching. Thank you for remembering. Lest We Forget. Currumbin RSL have obtained written approval for use of the song ‘True Blue’ by John Williamson in this ANZAC Day service.

03.01.2022 We wish we could commemorate and remember those who have fallen, who have served and are serving the same way we do every year but unfortunately, this can not b...e the case. As our iconic ANZAC Day Dawn Service can not be held this year at Elephant Rock, we are pleased to advise that Currumbin RSL will be streaming a pre-recorded mid-morning service. This private service will include a speech by our President, Mr Michael Humphreys, the Roll of Honour read by Past President, Mr Ron Workman OAM as well as the Ode. There will also be the bagpipe lament and the Last Post performed in line with formal commemoration procedures. Stay tuned for more details on this service and how else we are commemorating this ANZAC Day. We have some other plans and we want you involved. For media enquiries: [email protected]
