Just popping on here to let you know that you’ve got until next Thursday to place your meat and seafood orders for Christmas with @seafooddirectbutcherboy you can place orders in person at next week’s market or give Michelle a call (swipe for details ) All orders will be ready to pick up at our Christmas Eve market on the 24th - our market naturally falls on Christmas Eve this year which couldn’t be more perfect for that last minute Christmas prep. The guys at @seafooddirectbutcherboy will be there setting up from 4:30am !! (Please note there will be PLENTY of meat and seafood in the trailer for anyone to purchase who hasn’t pre ordered so no need to panic! 18.01.2022 Well it rolled around super quickly and with everything that has happened this year we almost forgot but..tomorrow we turn 3!!! To celebrate tomorrow we are teaming up with our stalls and giving away three big market baskets filled with amazing produce, handmade goods and vouchers to say thank you for your continued support. We can’t wait to give them away! We also have our day one boys on the tunes @butteredband... This little market wouldn’t exist without our amazing stallholders, many of whom have been right there with us from the very start and you our dedicated customers that support all of us every week. Special mention to Anne and Kristy from @currumbinrsl and Jane @ingiteeducation three beautiful women who have always made us feel like anything is possible. We started this market three years ago as two best friends with babies on our hips. It has been a lot of fun and some serious hard work but all the people we have met, the families we have watched grow, the stallholders who have become like family to us and the friendships we have watched blossom have made our lives full in the best possible way. 05.01.2022 Repost @jess.barber The connection between the food we eat and how it affects our brain and mood is very clear When we eat quality whole-foods, we see improvements in brain health and mood. This serves as a huge motivation for me to eat well ... Food affects our brain through its impact on our gut bacteria. When we eat whole and real foods we feed the bacteria in our gut, allowing them to thrive. In terms of Mental health, when we feed these bacteria the good stuff they produce neurotransmitters such as dopamine, serotonin, glutamate, and gammamainobutyric acid (GABA). These are all critically important for the regulation of mood, memory, and attention. If we don’t feed our gut bacteria real foods (think highly processed packaged foods), we can create gut dysbiosis (good and bad bacteria become out of balance). Higher levels of ‘bad bacteria’ could lead to abnormally high levels of acetylcholine, histamine, endotoxin, and cytokines which can damage brain tissue. My main point in sharing this is to help you understand that there is REAL power in making good dietary choices and it can be SO simple! #supportlocal #currumbincommunitymarkets
