25.01.2022 SATURDAY 14TH NOVEMBER Join us for Duck Pond paddle 12km round trip. High tide at 7:00am perfect! Let’s get as many paddlers as possible into double boats i.e. skis, TK2 and K2 - find a buddy and then find a boat. We will be starting from the CLUB SHED this Saturday at 7:00am to make it easier for those who want a club double boat first in first served; or bring your own!! Singles of course are always welcome!

24.01.2022 Tomorrow - Saturday 10th October, 7am start: Join us for our monthly 10km time trial - as a practice run for the following Sunday’s PCPS race. All welcome if you haven’t done one before then make this your first. If you feel you are not up to 10km yet, just turn around when you see the lead boats coming at you! (Preston Park off Michel Drive) Gold coin donation - open to all paddlers including SUPS. 7am start, but SUPS can start earlier, say 6.45am?
24.01.2022 It was all part of the plan - Congratulations Chris & Pete for engaging School Groups in the local area and getting kids into paddling. This year has been like ...no other, but we managed to have paddling lessons for schools in Term 4, 2020. CV Paddlers would like to thank Peter & Chris our head coaches and all our wonderful volunteers for their time helping with the school groups this term, we couldn’t of done it without you! This type of community engagement for paddling is something we are very proud of and will continue to work on with local schools well into the future. 23.01.2022 THIS SATURDAY 19 SEPTEMBER we have our 10km mass start time trial event! All starting at 7:00am from Preston Park all welcome. No compulsion to paddle 10km just turn around when you sight the lead paddlers on the return leg; but only the 10km paddlers will qualify for a time. Volunteer time keeper required!! You don’t need to be a member of the club to participate, just arrive a bit earlier to register.

Leaving the club shed in Davall St at 7:00am sharp. If you need a club boat please be on site by 6:30am.)... Reminder about our recreational paddle tomorrow morning Clarrie Hall Dam, Crams Farm, Doon Doon (SW of Murwillumbah via Uki) See MAP BELOW- via Commissioners Creek Rd, Doon Doon (don’t take Clarrie Hall Dam turnover before!) If you need a club boat for this event they can be collected from the club shed from 5:45 6:00am Saturday morning. (Don't forget your border pass if you need one !!!) Be at the launching ramp by 7:30am. It will be a tranquil fresh water dam paddle about 8km round trip.
22.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT Temporary CHANGE OF VENUE - 23rd August onwards. You may have noticed some preliminary construction works happening on the verges of the M1 from Currumbin Creek Road to Stewart Road. This is some early works associated with the widening of the M1 involving the relocation of electricity and water mains. As a result, a substantial part of the RSL car park will be taken over for construction works and as such access to the gravel hardstand that we use w...ill not be available; as from next Monday 17 August. In addition to this Council has advised that in early 2021 they will be demolishing the timber shelter structure we use every Saturday and will be replacing it with a family friendly structure closer to the playground, complete with 2 table and bench settings!! Really useful. SO, as from Saturday 22 August: We will be relocating our Saturday morning club sessions to Preston Park, off Michel Drive Currumbin Waters. Power, water, toilets, shelter structure, easy creek access and plenty of parking available. About 300m downstream from our club shed it’s the location we used to hold our Currumbin Capers event in the past. Map attached.

20.01.2022 For those of you looking for a beautiful place to paddle this Saturday 16th May we suggest a Flatwater recreational paddle into Cobaki Lake - nestled in between the Gold Coast Airport & West Tweed Heads. Around a 10km round trip, departing on a high outgoing tide 7.30am from Pioneer Park, 230 Kennedy Drive, Tweed Heads West. Permits needed for access into NSW/back into Qld. 10 people group limit & social distancing applies.

18.01.2022 THIS SATURDAY 11 JULY The forecast is for glassy conditions at the Currumbin Alley so it should be a perfect opportunity for an offshore paddle to the Palm Beach Reef suitable for all paddlers; even SUPs. Leaving from the RSL club at 7:00am novice paddlers can be escorted across the bar and back. PFD compulsory a few club ones are available if you need to borrow one. Low tide 6:15am.
17.01.2022 And we are off! 7.6km time trial course from our new location at Preston Park, with a good workout against the current & wind on our return leg! It was a great morning on this beautiful spring day, delicious pancakes & lessons afterwards.

The dam is now closed due to a blue/green algae outbreak; so instead the conditions look perfect for an off-shore paddle to the Palm Beach Reef. Leaving the club shed in Davall St at 7:00am sharp. If you need a club boat please be on site by 6:30am. New members and novice paddlers most welcome but you must be confident in remounting your craft if you take a spill in small (hopefully) surf across the bar. See you there!

The Pacific Coast Virtual Series provides Paddle Clubs with a product to help engage members,re-connect with past members, provide local communities with an exercise activity that can safely operate within the Governments social distancing measures, while helping Queenslanders to keep functioning.... 15.01.2022 THIS SATURDAY 25 JULY Joins us for a recreational paddle on the Southport Broadwater. Round trip of about 8.50km to Wave Break Island and back. Depart 7:30am from Pelican Beach off Waterways Drive (from the south, turn right before going over the Southport Bridge) parking for about 35 cars along the river bank. Should be good for wash riding off the large cruisers that ply the waterway. Singles, doubles, SUP’s all welcome. No tap water available for a wash down only a rinse shower.

14.01.2022 Unfortunately the upcoming Race 2 of the Pacific Coast 10K Paddle Series scheduled for this Sunday 12th September in Brisbane has been cancelled. Our Race 3 hosted by our club is still on schedule for Sunday 18th October at Currumbin! We look forward to seeing everyone at this event!

09.01.2022 Latest update on restrictions easing as of next weekend from Saturday 16 May.... We will be able to paddle in groups of up to 10. We will be also be able to travel up to 150km within our state so lots more beautiful waterways to paddle!

09.01.2022 CCPC UPDATE: During our "stand down" period we have had members using ocean skis from the trailer - that's all OK but please report any damage that occurs. We currently have three (3) skis out of service waiting for either parts or repairs. Also, please move the IRB out and skew the trailer to make removal and replacement easier - dont just drag the ski through the trailer. Also, ensure the boats are well rinsed and drained of water before replacing - some are taking on water... for reason; and replace boats upside down. We will also plan a "working bee" at the club shed as soon as the restrictions are lifted. We are hoping to announce soon a new monthly program for members which will include possibly two (2) handicap races each month - stay tuned.

03.01.2022 THIS SATURDAY 29 AUGUST Join us for a recreational paddle on the Southport Broadwater to Wave Break Island leaving at 7:00am from the Lagoon at Mitchell Park in the Broadwater Parklands off the eastern end of Smith Street. (Original departure point now taken up by construction works). Unload boats near the ramp and then find a regular car park. All welcome may even spot a dugong lurking around Wave Break!! 8km loop

Handicap race registration from 6:30am and race starts from 7:00am from our usual venue at the RSL club. The Introduction to Ocean Ski Paddling program will also resume on this day.
