25.01.2022 Yesterday we had a nice picnic at the park to celebrate our wonderful educators. We have such an amazing team and after all the challenges encountered this year, they have never stopped smiling! Cheers to our CPELC team!

20.01.2022 Our Babies and Toddlers are also part of our yoga class every Wednesday. We believe that young children derive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improves. So, we start as early as possible.

20.01.2022 Perfectly said.

20.01.2022 We are so grateful for our wonderful families. Look at the amazing feedback we got today: "I would like to share my appreciation for Tallass main educators this year Miss Bree, Miss Sienna & Miss Ana. Another year in which Tallas has grown so much in his confidence and ability to express his emotions.... With the support of these beautiful educators we are now at the stage where he asks for a daycare day on his days off! This makes us so immensely proud, considering his sensitive nature and MANY heartbreaking Kindy drops endured. Thank you so much to not only these educators, but the whole team who have helped us ensure our boy always feels safe & loved at his favourite Kindy." Nicola & Andrew

Please do not forget to confirm your enrolments. 14.01.2022 When the childrens interests extends to the world outside... families and teachers went on an adventure this Sunday exploring the waterfall at Springbrook. These experiences outside of our centre extend the childrens interests, strengthen the relationships between families and educators and so much more. We are so happy that we were able to have such an amazing experience that will stay in our hearts forever. Thank you all for coming. Thanks to Miss Cody, Miss Deb and Miss Josie for making it possible. Your passion for these children is outstanding. @ Springbrook, Queensland, Australia

14.01.2022 What a special Sunday!

14.01.2022 The sense of belonging shapes who children are and who they can become. They can identify themselves by belonging to their family, cultural groups, neighbourhoods and the community. When a child understands that they are part of a group or feel as though they are part of a family you know they have grasped the concept of belonging. At CPELC, we have many fun ways of demonstrating this in the curriculum through their About me books, learning portfolios, Show and tell on mat times... our children are encouraged to share about their life, likes and dislikes, to feel seen, heard and that they BELONG. @ Currumbin Pines Early Learning Centre of Excellence

14.01.2022 It is official! Today we celebrate becoming an official Nature Play QLD education provider! This is the feedback weve got from Nature Play: It is wonderful to see a whole service implementation of nature pedagogy, through all the age groups rooms. The learning stories of childrens learning experiences showcases a clear and regular emphasis on nature play, loose parts and explorations at all ages in the service. It is clear to see the educator team are passionate and commit...ted to nature play, taking the time to plan and set up inspiring play spaces that are inviting and stimulating. The loose parts tables and explorations of crystals were fabulous and rich with learning. Educators have shared the developmental benefits of nature play and environmental education for young children in their documentation in OWNA and on wall displays within the rooms. The children have been given opportunities to learn new skills and knowledge within the fence through nature investigations and experiences that support managed risk taking, such as the fire pit, slack lines, muddy play. The waterfall project was outstanding, following childrens interests and understandings of their natural world. This is extended further with an innovative Beach/Bush Kindy program where the children are supported to be independent learners through inquiry based play in nature in the community.

13.01.2022 Lets celebrate our wonderful educators!

11.01.2022 How lucky are our Jr kindy children?? Miss Brie and her partner donated a huge tank with 3 turtles and a big fish!! Children were over the moon!! Thanks guys! We are so lucky to be given such a special gift. @ Currumbin Pines Early Learning Centre of Excellence

09.01.2022 Today one of our amazing students, Leah, brought a very intriguing activity. Children were able to be inside a big bubble. It was such a great experience for children of all ages!!

08.01.2022 In our Jr kindy room, we have been focusing on a lot of sensorial experiences and today we used blue rice and sand with a variety of containers in a trough. It involved tipping & pouring with a different feel. Children tipped rice from cups, spoons & filled up small bottles. These type of activities provide the children with fine motor skills, imagination, hand eye coordination, sharing & turn taking skills & verbal language. We could not stop watching them interacting and having so much fun with this activity. @ Currumbin Pines Early Learning Centre of Excellence

06.01.2022 Mama Mia...the kindergarten children chose Italy to cook from this week and after preparing dough, passed it through the machine to make fettuccine. All cooked and tossed in garlic and parsley topped with parmasen the children were cheering as it was served. Delicious Cooking has so many benefits for children from understanding healthy eating, it develops life skills, motor skills, language, math, science, creativity, relationships, an adventurous palate and most of all they have fun #freshpasta #fettuccine #italy #appreciating #culture #diversity #buildingrelationships #delicious #food #proudteacher #kindergarten #children #cooking #lunch #currumbinpineselc #currumbinpinesearlylearningcentre @ Currumbin Pines Early Learning Centre of Excellence

05.01.2022 Well arent we so lucky to have an amazing Bush kindy program available here at CPELC? Pre kindy had their very first Bush kindy experience today at the kindy fire pit. The children told us the rules they have been learning and discussing with the teachers, and showed how they could sit around the fire safely. We discussed safety before lighting the fire and explained the plan to roast marshmallows in small groups. Everyone did such an incredible job and We are really proud ...of how responsible they were, listening attentively to any instructions and safely toasting their marshmallows. Theres the smoke, its going that way! Percy said Ive been at a campfire before Camilla said Ive been coming too Dustin said Me too! Said almost everyone. Being around a fire is a risk, there is a lot of responsibility, trust and communication involved, by having the opportunity to engage in risky play the children develop all these areas of development. They also engaged their senses, the sight of the flames, the smell of the smoke, the taste of the marshmallow, the sound of crackling fire, the feel of the warmth on their skin and the rough textures of the sticks. Were so glad we got to experience this together and we look forward to many more Bush kindy experiences to come.

05.01.2022 If it hasnt been in the hand... in the body... it cant be in the brain. Bev Bos wrote this and our Toddlers and Miss Louise can certainly verify this.

05.01.2022 Congratulations to our amazing Miss Deb for completing her Diploma!! We are so proud of her achievements and so happy to have her as part of our CPELC team.

04.01.2022 Our amazing educator Sienna, co-leader in the Pre kindy room has been recognised for her wonderful creativity in setting up environments. check it out.

04.01.2022 We believe learning does not happen only inside our childcare centre. This weekend our Pre Kindy families and educators had a great time exploring the Swell sculpture festival in Currumbin. Exploring our community and the partnership approach with families leads to more respectful relationships and better information sharing between centres and families.

03.01.2022 Our backyard amazes us every day. This is the perfect way to end the week. How lucky are we? #natureplayqld #natureasthethirdteacher #outdoorlearning #ouroasis

01.01.2022 When children interact with loose parts, they enter a world of what if that promotes the type of thinking that leads to problem solving and theoretical reasoning. Loose parts enhance children's ability to think imaginatively and see solutions, and they bring a sense of adventure and excitement to children's play. @ Currumbin Pines Early Learning Centre of Excellence
