25.01.2022 The Club recently completed its first IRB Crewperson Course for season 2020/2021. Congratulations to our 6 Vikings who gained their IRB award. for volunteering a few extra weekends to increase our patrol strength in this major award on the beach for the upcoming season. A big thank you to Our Official Course Trainers Luke and Werner as well as course assistant Tom Dick for your continued guidance and training with our members

18.01.2022 A great result for our Currumbin Nippers, the Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Life Saving Club and the Currumbin Community with this announcement as well as the LNPs previous $2m funding announcement earlier in the year to provide much needed funding for the upgrade of our Nipper Clubhouse at Currumbin Beach

We are pleased to announce that we have partnered up with the industry experts and leaders BIS Cosgrove to offer a complimentary Financial Planning Q&A session this Friday 16th October from 5pm-7pm in the Clubs Function Room. 16.01.2022 Meet the Team: Patrol Group 7 pictured on last weekends patrol. This season patrol 7 will be co captained by Liv Fien and @sam Sam Dick, both previous Australian Beach Champions who gained their Bronze Medallions at Currumbin SLSC and have graduated through our youth development programs and system into leadership roles at the Club. A big welcome back to 6 times Australian Relay Gold Medalist Mathew Currie, joining fellow Australian, World and Stawell gift Champion Elizabet...h Forsyth on patrol 7 this season. Barry Woodger is back for an amazing 42nd year of patrols at Currumbin SLSC. An outstanding feat in itself and great to have him sharing his experience and wealth of knowledge of the beach with our members! Our Female Boat Rowers Elise Buchanan and Sascha O’Keefe are volunteering their time again and will no doubt be getting ready to tackle the business end of the season in the boat at the 2021 Australian Titles after the cancellation of the 2020 event. Rounding out our patrol last weekend was our newest member of Patrol 7, Chris Ware who gained his Bronze Medallion with the Club last season. Great to see you all back and thank you for volunteering your time again at Currumbin SLSC to help keep our beach safe!

06.01.2022 We are excited to be launching and piloting our Vikings Volunteer Recognition Program in season 2020/2021. This program aims to recognise and acknowledge our members who go above and beyond in their volunteer efforts and duties at Currumbin SLSC. Members will accrue points over the course of the season for their contribution to the Club in the areas of Lifesaving, Training & Education, Leadership & Development, Member Support and Club Support earning recognition towards Gold... Viking, Silver Viking and Bronze Viking status throughout the season. Members who achieve Gold, Silver & Bronze points and status will be recognised and celebrated throughout the season and at the conclusion of the season at our major awards night. #recognition #volunteers
