01.01.2022 Why it worked: Youre Not You When Youre Hungry The classic campaign helped to raise Snickers global sales more than 15% in the year after it was introduced. But whey did it work? The motivation behind the campaign was the competitiveness of the confectionary market. Snickers needed to create something to differentiate themselves in a memorable way and they used the campaign to do this. By making people think and laugh they built the brand of Snickers and separated them fro...m the rest of the market. The campaigns genius lives in its repeatability. It can be reused in many ways such as including utilising intelligent comedy, using celebrities/influencers and tapping into present and past pop culture moments. The video shown is a classic example of the campaign utilising Mr. Bean and placing the character in a scenario he would never normally find himself in.
