24.01.2022 Naughty Toyo stole his mother’s breakfast this morning which consisted of porridge and lots of RAISINS Raisins are very toxic to dogs so it was lucky that his owners noticed straight away and brought him in to induce vomiting. A very good result and maybe even a little lesson learnt for Toyo today ... #raisins #toxic #cavoodle #warning #veterinarylife #curtinveterinaryclinic
24.01.2022 Bee sting alert .... with this luscious spring season, not only have we seen a lot of grass seeds caught in ears, paws and noses.....we’ve also had a lot of swollen faces from bee stings Luckily these two were rushed down to the Curtin Vets before the facial swelling and hives became too dangerous #hives #beestings #anaphylacticreaction #curtinveterinaryclinic #springseason #

16.01.2022 How lucky is Blue the Birman cat, who ate his mum’s hairband 5 days ago with a bit of help by use of an enema, both Blue and Dr Jana we’re glad it finally passed #cheekycats #curtinveterinaryclinic #foreignbodyblockages ##canberralife
16.01.2022 Some days in veterinary practice can be very trying and can present you with one emergency after another. Today we were winning and saved Terrier Angel from a Brown snake bite who had the live snake wriggling in her mouth (snake catcher thankfully took care of the snake whilst we took care of Angel and gave her the antivenin immediately) AND also Boris the cheeky Russian Blue who had eaten a rubber tube and was not well. Dr Jana operated on Boris and retrieved the tubing in time with the help of vet nurses Leesa and Mikayla Boris was so relieved he started eating soon after his recovery The Curtin Vet team and patients were all very happy at the end of the day (and a bit exhausted) Please watch out for snakes, they are very toxic at this time of year!! #snakealert #curtinveterinaryclinic #lifesavers #welovelourjob #canberralife
