23.01.2022 Thank you for all your kind messages today. It was another difficult day, 3 years since Curtis passed! It feels like yesterday, but so much has happened without Curtis. Today we took Jas to the park and had a quiet lunch in Olinda. We released some balloons at home with the family this evening! There are no words, just complete sadness that he’s not here, sharing his life with us, family and Jasmine. This is really the hardest part, Jas has lost her best friend, her twin, h...er rock!! It’s been three long years, I’ve been trying to run from the pain, hide at every chance. This hasn’t worked, the grieving has hit me suddenly, the first day of school was the worst. I couldn’t function at all. This year is a time to reflect, a time to remember a time to cry, a time to make and preserve his memories. I’m learning to create again, using my skills to create shadow boxes for Curtis’ LEGO mixels. To create an ever lasting patchwork quilt of Curtis’ clothes. This will take time, maybe many years, but we’ll be worth it. #dipg #braincancer #curtiscrusaders
