25.01.2022 So good to be back on the bag! Curvatecture’s got it’s other half back!! Millie’s back on site and it’s better than ever! So much fun in the sun with our apprentices Jake and Josh, and a new friend Maddie. We’re all tired, burnt, and very happy!!

25.01.2022 Getting right into the prep work for our SuperAdobe planter beds at the Farm. We’re clearing the topsoil and grass to be able to lay a solid gravel filled layer first, then standard SuperAdobe ontop, filled with soil from onsite. Now that restrictions are lifted, we are happy and comfortable to be running an appropriately sized, outdoor workshop to share end experiment with the AMAZING technique of Tadelakt Plaster; an ancient waterproof Moroccan plaster technique. 17.01.2022 Ramming up a storm back at the WillowEnd RoundHouse as we build the base for their pizza oven, and install the first layer. Completely rammed by hand, which is a heck load of work! I wouldn’t particularly recommend it, but it was great fun and very rewarding to peel off the forms and see our beautiful handiwork. #rammedearth #coboven

15.01.2022 Out digging away today clearing the way for our SuperAdobe planter beds, and Josh and I found a bunch of amazing polished stones, perfect for Tadelakt plaster! The universe must be wanting the beautiful tadelakt benches we’ve been dreaming up in the outdoor kitchen!!

14.01.2022 Throwback to cutting out all the windows at The WillowEnd RoundHouse after our first attempt at running standard forms for all the windows in the round courtyard, and there being issues with keeping the walls straight, we decided to do the cutout method. It was quite labor intensive in the end due to not using washed sand in the middle of the windows, but we had a great team and great weather, so we got it done fun times! #thewillowendroundhouse #curvatecture #superadobe

10.01.2022 Extreme milling day!! We had a wonderful day at Dalpura Farm milling up some of their sustainably grown timber, as they are an agroforestry property. We worked under the guidance of Jack Norton who was great to learn from. This is the first of many days like this, as we hope to help build the timber milling side of things at the farm here. 08.01.2022 More wonderful Tadelakt at Curvature’s first workshop centered around it. Everyone had a great time, and lots of success getting a wonderful finished product. We used cob balls as the bases, and 2 coats of limestone sand and lime mix, plus pigment. Can’t wait for the next one!!
