25.01.2022 It is great to see people getting involved in our challenge. Keep the comments coming and tell us how you went. Tomorrows challenge is:- TUESDAY - B DAY Todays challenge is a series of a few exercises, followed by a walk and finishing off with some balance.... 1. 20 Bicep Curls 2. 20 Bend and Twist ( make sure you engage your Core!) 3. 20 Butt kicks with arms reaching up then out 4. 10 Burpees (if you dont want to get down on the ground just touch your toes) 5. 20 fast Belly Punches REPEAT 2 TIMES Go for your walk. On your return finish off with a 5 minute set of Balance exercises you like. For example stand on on leg for 30 seconds then alternate, do a tree pose or maybe a heel to toe rock with your arms out to the side - you decide.

The routine today is... 1. 20 x Duck and Weave, then cross punch left then right. 2. 20 x Dip Shrug arm lifts (grabs some cans from the pantry to use as weights if you like). Lift your elbow out and up to shoulder height 3. 20 x Donkey Kicks either on your knees or holding onto a wall 4. 10 x chair Dips. Find a chair and rest your hands backwards on it. Have your feet out in front and lower your arms down as far as you can. REPEAT TWICE. Then I want you to turn the music up and DANCE, DANCE DANCE. it makes you feel good. (Videos/selfies would be good but not mandatory ) Dont forget your walk as well today. Have fun ladies.
22.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone. Tomorrows challenge - MONDAY - G day Lets start the week off on a positive note, unfortunately we cant use the Gym but we can still get our Glutes into Gear. Todays list of exercises:-... 1. 20 x Squats 2. 20 x Glute bridges - Lay on your back, knees in the air and feet planted on the floor. Slowly raise your hips into the air as high as you can and squeeze your glutes, then come back down. 3. One minute - Sumo squat hands behind head bending sideways left and right - keeping your back straight. 4. 20 x lunges. Left then right. 5. 20 x Squat then kick right leg, squat then kick left leg. Repeat sequence twice. Then set off for you walk - minimum 5000 steps. Really Get into it!

The Forward Lunge can increase flexibility and lengthen the Hamstrings at the back of the thigh, and the Gastrocnemius and Soleus, which are the muscles of the calf. 20.01.2022 WEDNESDAY - I DAY Todays challenge - Increase your steps today. Do a 10,000 step walk or longer if you want with some Inclines included. Before youre walk complete the following:- 1. One minute In and Out fast feet. Increase speed.... 2. 20 x Inchworms. Place your hands on the floor and slowly walk them out as far as you can, then walk them back. 3. Use your Iliopsoas muscle and do 20 x Elbow to opposite Knee 4. 30 second, each leg, Tree pose (stretching your Iliopsoas muscle) Repeat. To prevent Injury make sure you stretch after your walk. Once you have done it, either just add a comment on how you went, post a comment Done or even better, post a photo/video of you doing it. If you feel you cant do the challenge set down, then make up one of your own and let us know what you did.... I would love everyone to join in each day, but if you cant, dont worry, just do it when you can. It is something to help mix up your daily fitness regime. MONDAY - LETTER A Lets try and use your Abductor muscles by doing 4 sets of 10 raised high knee walks. Lift you knees up as high as you can, walk in a forward motion and feel the muscles working. Then get Active and do at least 5,000 steps to get the heart pumping. On your return you can stretch out your Adductors by doing some front and side lunges. Make sure your routine is regular, that you enjoy it and you stick to it - just like attending your Curves Workouts (when we are back up and running).... Fitness plays such an important role in our health and wellbeing (both physically and mentally) so do as much as you can and you will reap the rewards. Today we are going to work on our Flexibility and Fitness. So lets start off by going for a Fast walk and really try and challenge yourself. Maybe do 30 seconds walk then 30 seconds jog/run. Try and get the heart rate up. Then when you finish do a Curves Stretching Session to improve your Flexibility - trust me - it feels great. 01.01.2022 Hi everyone. Just checking in to see how you are all coping during these difficult times. We are in the process of giving all our Curves ladies a phone call to say hello and see if we can help you in anyway. So when we call, please pick up the phone to have a chat - it certainly makes you feel good just touching base with someone, even though it is just over the phone. Hopefully we will see you all in person in the near future. I am starting a new Challenge on Monday. It ...will be another A-Z with some type of activity being posted each day for completion the following day. If you want, you can do your own activity starting with the days letter and post it on our page. So keep your eyes peeled for Mondays challenge - Ill post it a bit later today. I hope everyone is still managing to get out for a daily walk and doing some strength training at home on a regular basis. Its certainly easier now that the lovely spring weather has arrived and the weather is a bit warmer.
