19.01.2022 Hi everyone, I hope you are all coping with the isolation, not much difference at all for the farmers really. I have a bit of info to distribute. Are you aware of the Disaster Recovery Payment? It is for people who have experienced damage to property from the fires. It's not asset tested and is $1000 per adult and $400 per child, if you have had to replace a water tank, water, clothing, bedding, linen, beds, carpets, curtains etc due to smoke and ash damage, or if you have ha...d a significant loss to buildings etc. There is also $10,000 grant if your small business can show a 40% financial decline over a 3 mth period (from Aug 2019) compared to the same time last year. There is also a Covid-19 grant with the same guidelines coming very soon. If you think you can claim these, and need some assistance let me know and we will discuss it further.

19.01.2022 Wishing all my clients a very Happy Christmas and hoping 2020 is a better year. Stay safe everyone and i will see you all in the New Year.

18.01.2022 The Emergency Drought Relief Package 2019-20 includes $70 million for Drought Transport Subsidies. From 1 July 2019: Eligible farm business will be entitled to receive up to $40,000 in 2019-20. The subsidy can cover 50% of the full cost of freight up to a maximum of $5 per kilometre (+GST). For all transport costs after 1 July 2019, the maximum eligible distance limit of 1,500 kilometres no longer applies.

17.01.2022 The NSW Government has announced that the drought assistance will not only be extended but have increased funding. This means that anyone who received a rebate through the Emergency Drought Transport Subsidy in 2018-2019 is eligible to apply again in 2019-2020, even if they received the maximum of $40,000. People who did not reach the $40,000 in 2018-2019, but have had an approved claim, can continue to lodge invoices for the 2018-2019 period, until September 2019. The 2019-2...020 period only applies to invoices where the movement of fodder, stock water or stock occurred after 1.07.19. The Farm Innovation Fund has received additional funding in 2019-2020. The Farm Innovation Fund is a long term, low interest rate loan of up to 1 million dollars, to NSW farmers for permanent on-farm infrastructure that improve farm productivity, helps to manage adverse seasonal conditions and ensures long term sustainability. The Drought Assistance Fund is a one-off $50,000 interest-free loan to primary producers to implement systems and management practices that enhance the sustainability of their farm business. The loan term is seven years and there are no repayments required in the first two years. This loan will fund transport of stock, fodder and water, genetic banking of breeding herds, installing of on-farm fodder and water infrastructure

12.01.2022 The extension of the drought assistance by the Government will give you more time to either put in a claim for Drought Transport Rebate, or add to an already existing claim up to a maximum of $40,000 I recommend you take the time to read this article and have a think about your farm and how you could minimize the effects of drought. The Drought Assistance Fund is a no interest loan of up to $50,000 with no repayments for the first 2 years of a 7 year term. This fund is to be used to improve the water infrastructure on your farm, and I think a very good offer.

11.01.2022 MLA announces changes coming to MSA 21 March 2019 From June 2019, Meat Standards Australia (MSA) will be rolling out several changes to its model, the MSA Vendor Declaration Form and myMSA. Hump height will be used as a direct predictor of eating quality: while hump height has always been measured as part of MSA, it will now be used as a direct predictor of eating quality rather than an estimate of tropical breed content. The number of ‘cut by cook’ combinations will inc...rease from 169 to 275 this will give new secondary cut options to the foodservice industry and provide increasingly popular cooking methods such as sous vide and combi-oven roasting. A revised MSA Vendor Declaration Form: The Form will simplify how producers record tropical breed content and it will provide an option for owners who use agistment or custom feeding to receive direct carcase feedback through the myMSA feedback portal. MSA-registered producers will not need to instantly transition to the new MSA Declaration Form when it becomes available. Earlier versions of the MSA Declaration will be accepted until producers run out of their current versions. New myMSA features and look: producers will have access to an Opportunity Index on cattle that did not meet minimum MSA grading requirements, giving producers an indication of the potential value of those carcases if they addressed the reasons for non-compliance. Users will also notice a refreshed, more user-friendly myMSA online portal. See more
