24.01.2022 **Update** Another uni assignment done and dusted, and a couple of days of respite until the next one is due! I am also feeling much better now and helping Ben out between assignments and end of semester exams where possible. Weve been quite busy over the past week or so sending updates to our current customers and pulling parts for models almost daily, in fact weve got a dozen to do this week! ... Callum is coming in tomorrow to help us smash out some builds, so will post some pictures up of our growing assembly line later in the week! 22.01.2022 The Green Beast finally hit NZ!! Thought wed share a nice review we received from a customer in New Zealand this week, after he received his Dunedin Airport Austral Trident Tanker a short time ago. "It looks fantastic. I can see it is a complex build and it is great to see the different angles of the cab in the final model. Was also impressed to see two wee seats inside. I appreciate the effort it took to design and make. The stickers look great also. Has pride of plac...e in the living room. Only wish the LEDs could have been incorporated but understand the complexities of doing so." In regards to the comment about LEDs, some of our larger models we build are very difficult to install LEDs within and the Airport Tanker is one of these cases due to its obscure angles and delicate lights.

21.01.2022 What a busy weekend we had at Custom Brick Builds!! 4 more models built and ready for the signwritters and electricians to work their magic, by our good friend and long term customer, Jason! This time its 3 more FENZ Type 2 pumpers getting ready to cross the border into New Zealand very soon and a McDermott Aviation 214B to add to our promo fleet, to replace the one sent to a customer in Victoria recently.... Over the weekend weve also pulled parts for 9 new models, which will be ready to build shortly and added a decent amount of parts into our inventory! We are currently also ordering in more parts and custom printed minifigures to complete existing orders, as with almost 70 models currently on our build list the cycle never stops, but dont worry we have made good progress forward!

21.01.2022 Fresh fleet are rolling off the assembly line at Custom Brick Builds ready for the sign writers and electricians to work their magic! This was Callums build efforts from Wednesday afternoon, pretty impressive efforts if you ask me! The fleet will be headed to Mt Gambier, Adelaide, New Zealand and Murray Bridge once complete.... 21.01.2022 Another day of pulling parts for vehicle orders here at CBB. 10 models and counting... Someone told us it’s sunny outside??

21.01.2022 As you may be aware, we have had a couple of months off from taking new orders to catch up on our workload. Sitting down and looking at what we have on the books, there is still plenty to finish and customers we still have to complete at the end of our two month hiatus from taking more work. We have realised that even though this is a hobby for us, we need to give the CBB marquee more time and make some improvements and efficiencies in our processes to get things running mor...e smoothly, along with getting some more help. We have taken on an extra two builders (for a total of 3), but still have Tristan and I doing all the designing, installing LEDs and ordering bricks. These three processes (on top of responding to enquiries) are the most time consuming and demanding, which compete with Full Time Work for me and Full Time Study /Part Time Work for Tristan and we don't have more hours that we can give at the moment. Tristan has started new work in July that has taken more hours away from CBB and we have not got through as much work as we have hoped to in the last couple of months. On top of this we have both lost friends in this period that has affected us and left us in mourning during Covid-19. COVID has also impacted our delivery times on bricks, stickers, available staff at our suppliers and getting models done is just taking longer in general. We also have two rather large Corporate orders still left to complete. We have therefore made the decision to not resume normal trading and taking on new models, but to continue working on existing builds right through the remainder of the year. This will mean that we will NOT be taking on special Christmas orders this year as neither of us has the available time to commit further to CBB in the coming months. We will reassess where we stand in the New Year, our customers are always our number one priority and currently we are not meeting our own standards of customer service with existing orders and this needs to be the priority going forward. Tristan will also need to be on Paramedic student placement during the summer period that will affect our work availability further. Thanks for you understanding !

19.01.2022 **CBB Update** Were making good head way through the backlog of approximately 75 models currently on order, with 2 new models designed this week, 4 orders shipped (2 local, 1 interstate and 1 to NZ) and 5 models built on friday by our awesome casual Callum! Our Facebook messages have been caught up on, and updates provided to customers, so just have to tackle our emails shortly. Weve also been very busy pulling parts for 25 models since Friday, as shown in the containers be...hind the models, which we are now in the process of putting some big parts orders in for to purchase the remaining parts required. Lets just say our part stock levels are wearing a little thin with the insane amount of models we are currently building The 5 models built on Friday include 2x St John SA Ford Transit Vans - Campbelltown 116 (far left and right) and then 3x SACFS 34Ps in the middle, all for various stations across SA. 16.01.2022 Wow what a massive week! We have been doing annual stocktake on all our parts ready to get into a stack of new builds and work out what we are going to need, all while Tristan was completing two Uni assignments! Just to put it into a little more context, over 17,900 parts, all counted by hand at around $2k of inventory.....and we know we are going to need a stack more for around 50 builds on hand! Those new storage units are sure getting a workout! Many thanks to Callum for giving us a hand, orders are building and much Bricklinking to be done - we are going to be a little occupied

11.01.2022 A big part of what we do here at Custom Brick Builds is share our creations with other LEGO fans by taking our models out on the road. Here are some pics we took last October before all the CV-19 restrictions on travel and distance were a thing, and I met a fellow Classic Space fan Crouchy. It was great to sit back and relive memories of how a big part of our childhoods featured LEGO and formed some of our favourite memories, and before I knew it we had talked for almost ...an hour!! Our fellow LEGO AFOLs(Adult Fans of LEGO) and members of Southern Bricks LEGO User Group (LUG) SA joined the Limestone Coast LUG team for BrickGambier 2019 in Mount Gambier. It was a great weekend full of awesome LEGO and great people, and entertaining the public. Hopefully wont be too long before we can get back out on the road and organise another event to all catch up. Until then, stay safe, keep calm and brick on!

Some work in progress, hot off the LEGO production line featuring from lower left clockwise, Parabellum 16 and 26 (Toyota Landcruiser Pod Ambulance and Troop Carrier Ambulance), HEST (Sprinter 1, Nissan Pod 4WD Ambulance, Sprinter 2, Land...cruiser 4WD Pod Ambulance, a customer request for Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA Heavy Rescue Pumper and another HEST Paramedical Sprinter 3. On top of this we have pulled parts for 14 additional builds this week, ordered in a stack more parts, LEDs and Printed Lockers, plus arranged some newer minifigure designs and have another vinyl sticker run being completed as we speak! 10.01.2022 **Update** What a massive week at Custom Brick Builds! A huge influx of messages, comments, and emails was received with 100+ answered within the second half of the week!... Weve also pulled parts for 17 models out of our inventory, to make some progress towards the current 50 odd models on our build list. On top of that, weve ordered a lot of parts as well to complete those models. Hoping to crack into some more new designs this week, and customers should start to receive order updates shortly.

10.01.2022 Sunday night builds! SAMFS Rescue Pumpers, Paradise 229 and Angle Park 369 and SA Ambulance fleet 262 will be off to their new owners and hitting the streets very soon! My uni semester is finally over and ill be back into smashing out orders for my next few weeks of holidays and making up for lost time. 08.01.2022 When you've done almost everything ON the road, it's time to look at other modes of Emergency transport! Here are two rather large jobs we have had on the cards this last few months, the SAMFS Fire Boat MV Gallantry and the Air Tractor 802 Water Bomber. Heaps of parts been flooding in for a stack of models so hopefully we can see these both 'in the brick' really soon! Also had 6 orders going out in the last week so making some progress through our backlog!

07.01.2022 Last week was a fairly productive one at Custom Brick Builds, with 4 new model designs completed and 1500+ parts received and sorted into our inventory, to help complete the first 22 of 55+ models currently on our build schedule. Models designed include: SAMFS Rescue Pumper - Paradise 229 & Angle Park 369 SAMFS Old Style Pumper - Largs North 281... St John Ambulance SA - Ford Transit Mobile First Aid Unit (MFAU) - Campbelltown 116 SACFS State Logistics 4 Truck - renders to come. The first three models have renders attached below and Ive also attached a picture of the pile of parts orders received. I hope you all like these fresh new designs as theres a stack more designs to come, as these are only the first 4 of about 20 new models.

06.01.2022 When it comes to dust and LEGO, we know how much of a pain it can be to keep it all clean! Thats why we also offer custom made acrylic display cases to all our customers! We have set sizes in small, medium, large and extra large for our vehicles, but we also fully customise built-to-order cases, like we just completed for our customer Vincenzo. The bases have a full rebated edge to keep the dust out, are made from 3mm acrylic (but can be modified to 4mm or thicker) and can... be made in the colour and size of your choice, anything is possible right up to a full UCS Millenium Falcon - or larger! The Barracuda Bay Pirate Scene is the latest case we just delivered yesterday, the two medieval buildings are the previous order he had made to fit his awesome display room - one of the best kept displays we have seen to date! 05.01.2022 Another design done and dusted, a LOT of hours going into this Aerotech Australia Air Tractor 802F Water Bomber for one of our customer requests, complete with aileron and flap controls, and some insane mix of sideways builds, plate layer contouring and a first ever five blade prop in LEGO! Weve seen five blade heli rotors but nothing on a prop scale! We are insanely busy as Tristan has been unwell and is catching up on Uni, so much work on the cards to get through so we are glad to get this one finalised and get some building time in the next few days to fulfil some orders!! @ Athelstone, South Australia, Australia

05.01.2022 Last week was a busy week at Custom Brick Builds, but were finally starting to crack through the backlog! We managed to complete 12 builds, ship 3 orders, pick up a new batch of custom acrylic display cases and get a new model design completed and were already onto the next one! Builds in the pic below include -... 6x SA Ambulance Mercedes Sprinter Models 2x St John Ambulance NT Mercedes Sprinter Models 2x CFS State Logistics 4 Trucks, that are now just awaiting for the air support team to fit them with their foam and retardant tanks. 2x MFS Largs North 281 Pumpers (older generation pumper) All these models will be headed out to their respective customers in the coming few weeks, once stickers and LEDs are organised for them, some of them are even due for completion this week!! 03.01.2022 Model building has gotten well underway at Custom Brick Builds within the last week, with several models completed off of our current build list of 60+ vehicles, as shown below. Were currently prepping several minifigure orders for postage on Tuesday, with multiple parcels headed to New Zealand. 02.01.2022 A couple of new designs have just been completed here at Custom Brick Builds, being a St John Ambulance NT Mercedes Sprinter Ambulance, and a Rural Fire Service Queensland Tanker for the Mount Maurice Brigade. These particular vehicles mark a special occasion at CBB, as the ambulance will be the first vehicle weve done for the NT and fire tanker will be the first Queensland fire appliance and yellow appliance weve ever completed!! Were also on track for completing another couple of designs towards the end of the week and a few more builds, so should have another update for you all shortly.

02.01.2022 Today the team at Custom Brick Builds mourns the loss of a true friend and LEGO aficionado Steve Campbell, owner of the iconic Laygo LEGO PARTY & Retail VENUE at Melrose Park SA (yes us SA people say it funny, and Steve took the preverbial to use for his store!) Steve was the warmest and nicest bloke, a true gentleman and great supporter of the local LEGO scene in SA. Many people in SA visited the store for parts, kits and LEGO birthday parties. His iconic grandfather clock build won the best in show award at Brickalaide. He WAS LEGO in SA. Sadly Steve recently lost his fight against cancer - our hearts are broken and our LEGO Community has lost a great man. May you Rest In Peace our brother in bricks
