18.01.2022 The annual Poppy Appeal is coordinated by the Returned & Services League of Australia with the support of RSL Sub Branches, to ensure that all Ex-Service and Service Men and Women and their dependants are provided with adequate welfare and care services. Our Business Development Manager in Brisbane Stephen Dacey has been busy raising funds for the appeal with the City-New Farm RSL of which he is a member. Stephen is also Vice President and Board member of South Eastern Distri...ct RSL. He is a Returned Serviceman having served in Vietnam in the Royal Australian Navy, on HMAS Brisbane II. Stephen and the other members of the City New Farm Sub Branch spent four days at the Merthyr Village New Farm in Brisbane and raised $6,500.00 accepting donations and selling poppies and badges. Poppy Appeal Australia began in 1921 and has become an international symbol of sacrifice and remembrance, to be worn with pride on Remembrance Day, November 11. Remembrance Day in Australia is dedicated to Australians who died as a result of war, particularly from World War I onwards. A minute of silence is dedicated to the deceased, especially for soldiers who died fighting to protect the nation. RSL Sub Branches range in size from large licensed Club operations providing a wide range of hospitality options including food, beverage and entertainment through to smaller non-licensed Sub Branches providing traditional welfare support to RSL members. Well done Stephen. What a great effort in challenging times.

We will countdown the top ten with you one a week until we reach the winner, and what a winner it is! Number 10: The Tyre Press.... Before Sun, this customer had three separate flow divider circuits, which meant many long hoses and fittings, and high pressure drops. Sun’s custom solution combines the functions of the original three systems into one block. The solution allowed the customer flexibility and space to reduce the number of hoses and fittings that reduced material and labour costs. Wings Over Water is a monumental kinetic sculpture integrated into a fountain outside of the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX. Sun hydraulic valves are mounted inside the fountain to drive the Hagglunds motor to move the large wings at the top of the installation. 04.01.2022 Custom Fluidpower Perth recently participated in The Fluid Power Society of WA (Inc.) annual golf day. The day is all about catching up with industry colleagues and having a dose of good old fashioned fun. The team is proud to report that they won the competition and had a fantastic day. The Fluid Power Society of WA forms part of the Australian Fluid Power Society (AFPS) The AFPS encompasses people from a broad spectrum of general industry such as fluid power equipment and component manufacturers, engineering consultants, system designers and manufacturers, equipment service and installation companies and fluid power trainers. The team on the day were Brandon Barnes, Shawn Ventry-smith, Barry Whitaker and Scott Holmes (non CFP). Congratulations to them. Great job.
