25.01.2022 What's your thoughts on this 9" Bowie? It's 14" overall in length and made with 15n20 and 1085 steel, has a 9mm spine, damascus guard, black g10 and bronze spacers, and a piece of Peter Cheal's - The Timber Joint Ringed Gidgee with a domed stainless pin. Then the hand-sewn leather sheath finishes it off with a piece of Tilapia fish skin inlay. If a knife like this is on your wish list, hit us up!

21.01.2022 During this COVID19 period, we heard of a lot of shortages in medical equipment to help patients suffering from the disease. And one of the shortages is for the... ventilator system. I am a professional microprocessor (PIC) programmer and electronic circuit designer with 20 years of experience in design and prototyping electromechanical control systems. I would like to offer my assistance and collaboration to anyone that is working on making ventilators. If you know anybody that shares the same aim, please direct some contact so I can join in this fight.
20.01.2022 This is one of those times where the journey is just as important as the destination. A few bits of 1095 & L6, some sweat, and tears, some laughs and the odd blister, my three boys worked together to make their first damascus billet. Which I then smashed into a lovely 11" integral kitchen knife. It is also one of those times a father couldn't be more proud Can't wait to see the next one :P
18.01.2022 We’re pretty excited to have Wayne Schmidt from Cracked Anvil Forge joining us for a weekend of classes. If you are travelling, please PM if you need a camp site for the night. If you cannot attend these dates please get in touch or comment in here so we can garner interest for future dates. Thanks

11.01.2022 *Breaking News* Facebook fails to support local Australia manufacturers and artisans during COVID 19 outbreak. As if this situation was not hard enough already!... Please help this go viral! Please like share and comment and help us spread the word. Unfortunately Facebook has decided we cannot promote our podcast and its associated group "Knifemaking Down Under", because they have decided our promotions lead to the sale of weapons. This is false, misleading and offensive. Our podcast shares the skills and knowledge of an ancient craft that has been practiced since the dawn of our species. We also discuss important topics like mental health. This is allowed under Facebook's own rules which can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/polic//prohibited_content/weapons We rely now on your support to support us. Do you really think a custom hand made knife is a weapon and will be used as such? Tell us in the comments below. For the record, Mert Tansu is one of the worlds best manufacturers of Kitchen Knives. Kevin Slattery specializes in hunting and utility knives, and Corin Urquhart makes artistic, historical folding knives. It is time Facebook came to us with proper communication and told us why they will not follow their own rules in accepting advertisements that meet their own guidelines. In the absence of being able to talk to a human, help make this post go viral. lets see if they come to us. We will be trying to pay to boost this post, lets see if they read it and give us a formal response!
