23.01.2022 Finally, here we have it. Our @haas_automation VF2 is finally equipped with a 4th axis and ready to start machining today. Still retaining full X, Y and Z* travel (Z dependant on tool length). You can see what we needed to do to make it all fit with the brackets and fixtures. Fingers crossed it is smooth sailing from here on in. We actually swapped the previous HRT160 to the HRT210 thanks to a deal organised by our local Haas tech. A win/win for both parties. The other shop ...has a VF1 with an umbrella tool changer and the 210 was just too big. I purchased the 160 which I kind of regretted not getting the 210 since I wanted to make the K series billet block on this machine and the 160 didn't quite suit that, so win/win. Not only that though, now both our machines can run the exact same parts and setups, the main idea of this whole project. So now I just have to make use of it. 20.01.2022 .....and there you have it, stock of RB26, 6 and 12 injector runners. Ready for final cleaning to go on the shelf. We are continuing to get through our stock as fast as humanly/machinely (is that even a word) possible. In at all hours of the night to keep the Haas Automation, Inc. VF2 running and it hasn't let me down, only let myself down with a few (few too many) human errors. We plan on finishing all our remaining RB25/NEO and RB30 runners by Wednesday/Thursday and then ...onto the 25 billet plenums, so 50 halves for the JZ and RB series of manifolds. As usual, Autodesk Fusion 360 making it easier than it would usually be, Hangsterfer's Laboratories for the kick ass coolant and Livetools for the tooling. On the tooling, the same 16mm end mill has roughed all the op1 plenums and op1 runners and so far all the op2 runners. I reckon it will make it through all my op2 plenums. I should figure out how much run time and how much material it has removed, now that would be interesting. A record for us regardless, we usually bang them up a lot quicker @dylan__pedroza is chugging away in the back ground. Finished a bunch of parts for an Australian company Monday last week, going through another 5 manifolds for another company which will see him through to the end of the weekend and then onto our biggest 3 party order ever. Some 15 manifolds with 20+ parts each which equates to approx 5-6 weeks of work, all to be run on the Hurco Companies Inc.VM20 Anyway, back to it, programs don't make themselves. I'm really pushing to make more time to be able to improve workflow around the shop which ultimately leads to a more refined product. Always chasing more. 06.01.2022 Billet end tanks for Nissan R32/33/34 replacement intercoolers Working on expanding our products and this is just another one to add to the list. Have a couple of different end tank designs and also width, thickness and brand cores for some back to back data logging and testing. This is going to be a whole heap of fun

05.01.2022 Week 4 is done and dusted and this is where we are at. 2JZ, RB25, RB25NEO, RB26 and RB30 (not in shot) are all done and waiting for the remaining parts to make the complete intake manifold package. A total of 42 runners, machined and prep'd ready for assembly once all the other parts are machined. We are currently working through machining of our own billet throttle bodies, 76mm (3"), 90mm (3.5") and 102mm (4") are available, a total of 90 of them, to suit silicon couplers or... Wiggins style clamp kit, our own included. Stocking up on clamp kits is what we have planned for after this run of manifolds. We still have a bit to go, fuel rails, operation 2 of all 50 plenum halves and finish off all the throttle bodies but we are getting there. Working literally around the clock and keeping the @haas_automation VF2 machine running is the only way to get through all of this as quickly as possible. This ol' Haas hasn't missed a beat yet, knock on wood, and it has been doing 18-24 hours days since we started this 4 weeks ago. At the same time I am really concentrating on our @adskfusion360 CAM templates which are saving me a bunch of time but throughout all this are undergoing constant refinement to make the fastest possible part and at the same time providing an uncompromised level of finish, something I am always trying to push for. I had always wanted to do this but I never made time for it. Over the past 12-18 months I have been making changes to be able to get to a point to where I am currently working towards and it is a good feeling.
