20.01.2022 What a year...! Today was our last day for 2020 and got this 8.6m Eliminator Centre Hard Top off to the paint shop. It’s a beauty. Mammoth effort from all the Custom Works team this year. Big thanks to you all of the crew. We are taking a break, back on the 6th January to get stuck into some new builds.... Merry Christmas to all, catch you in the new year.

18.01.2022 Yesterday we visit the Tiwi islands for the official launch of the inter island ferry. We were happy to see the boat operating successfully for the first month since delivery. NT government projects, such as this, support our communities and local industry alike and we were very proud to have been involved in this build.

18.01.2022 Today we water test our new Centre Hard Top design and are very happy with it's performance and stability. The walk through design gives the desired effect with air flow, and can be closed up during rain or rough conditions. More pics to come once this boat is delivered.

14.01.2022 Custom Works has been working on a two car and passenger ferry for the Tiwi Islands. Recently Michael Gunner and representatives from the Tiwi Islands Regional Council dropped in for a visit to check out the progress made on the barge. Take a look at the interview with Dale during their visit. Safe to say we are pretty excited about this one.

12.01.2022 On Friday we delivered a 5.4m Premier to Kakadu National Park. Of course, with biosecurity zones still in place, we hand the boat over at the security checkpoint as they were not able to come into Darwin to pick up. Just the level of service we go to for our customers. Thanks to Brian and team at Kakadu National Park, has been a pleasure working with you.

11.01.2022 We hand over this new 5.4m Premier to Australian Volunteer Coast Guard on Saturday. This rescue vessel is easy to trailer making it possible for Volunteer Coast Guard to reach wider destinations. Keep an eye out for it, maybe you'll catch it at Dundee on a long weekend. Thank you to Fiona, Dean and Byron for their hard work as volunteers, keeping our waters safe.

09.01.2022 Worked hard from last Friday to commission our new 6.5m Eliminator with its new owner Mike. Bit of work involved setting up the battery charger systems. Fantastic support from Keoghs Marine & Enerdrive to fine tune the charging systems for the first ever 36 volt lithium batteries in Australia. Thanks to Mike for commissioning Custom Works to design and build your custom boat, and for giving us the opportunity to demonstrate our design and construction capabilities. Very happy with the final outcome on this high end build. Massive effort from the Custom Works team to bring the finished product together. This morning was the start of its maiden voyage over to the islands.

07.01.2022 Did you know... we have expanded! We got a little sidetracked with all that is going on in the world and haven't told you the news. A couple of months ago we took over the entire premises of 29 Tannadice st Winnellie. You will now find our offices in the front shed, and much more room for all your boats to be worked on. Super exciting. Be sure to head in for any custom build, mods or repair enquiries and take a look at the new set up.

06.01.2022 The second model available from Custom Works is the Premier series. These models share many of the features found on the Eliminator series, and is specifically designed to fit the 5.5m 6.1m market. Using the Eliminator forefoot with a 13 degree transom and reverse chine, this model represents a true all-rounder, tough and efficient. These boats are constructed with level flotation as standard, providing ultimate safety. Hull powering options for the series are also at the discretion of the buyer and Custom Works is able to readily source all major outboard brands including Yamaha, Suzuki, Mercury and Honda. Locally built Voyager trailers or our heavy duty aluminium trailers can be supplied to round out the complete BMT package options available for your new boat.

03.01.2022 The 12m Two Car Ferry has successfully operated its first day of service between Bathurst and Melville islands. The experienced Tiwi boat crew had no trouble adapting to the additional size and features of the new vessel, with all loading conditions being tested. Here are a few photos, big thanks to all involved from conception to handover.

01.01.2022 We Recently delivered a 6.5m Eliminator to the NT water Police. This custom built vessel has been set up to suit a variety of operations, with collaborative input from Water Police to ensure the vessel was delivered ready for work. With a shake down run of over 500km this week, the boat proved herself well in all aspects. Thanks to NTPFES and Water Police for the ongoing support.
