25.01.2022 Due to the government guidelines it is with great sadness that I announce the temporary closure of @cutabovecoaching It pains me to tears, but I know we are not alone. We as a community need to stand together (1.5 metres apart though) to get through this! I am researching each day in to when we are able to reopen the doors, hopefully sooner rather than later. ... These are testing and stressful times and I feel deeply for anyone affected by this. It is an unknown in so many ways. Anyone who needs a chat please reach out! 25.01.2022 Harsh truth Don’t tell me you can’t afford to have a gym membership or a trainer and then be buying daily coffees, alcohol on the weekends, cigarettes, new $300 activewear outfits etc etc. One of the most common excuses I hear from people about not starting or quitting on their training is money. It’s not a matter of you not affording it, it’s that you don’t see value or priority in your health so it seems expensive compared to other factors you lay priority to. Time to ...invest in you health and wellness? Gym memberships can cost as little as $9 a week, that’s 2 coffees! Group training sessions can cost as little as $30, that’s 1 meal eaten out! Private training sessions can cost as little as $60, 1 packet of cigarettes. Before you go using money as an excuse, look at where you currently lay priority to and ask yourself what you really want more. See more

In a nut shell the correct nutrition in order to lose body fat: eat less bad shit, eat more good shit Everyone is constantly searching for the magic diet creating yo-yo dieters who continue to gain weight. Once you realise that you have tried every fad in the book; keto, paleo, intermittent fasting, sugar free, vegan, juice detox etc and each time you lose 10kg in 8 weeks, go back to eating poorly and put 15kg back on until you find the next fad diet to begin. See the flaw? Time to take responsibility and start making better choices LONG TERM! Whole foods, not processed junk. Organic steak, not a Big Mac. 13.01.2022 Wow... all I have is wow Cut Above is closing for the Christmas break and I found myself looking back at how far this studio has come over the past 9 months since opening... Over 50 amazing clients, so many pb’s every week, an age range from 17 to 63, so many laughs and a few tears. I’ve witnessed incredible personal journeys and been honoured to be a part of two weddings, countless new career moves, new baby on the way, Victorian and national body building champs and so so much more! Being a personal trainer is more than counting reps you need the entire picture to do your job. So thank you to all those who have joined Cut Above this year, I look forward to seeing you all and some new faces come Jan 6th! 2020 has some exciting things on the horizon... stay tuned #becomeacutabove

04.01.2022 As children we fall down 9 times and get up 10 without fail... we want to climb the tree and we do not stop until we climb it. Willing to risk all, broken bones, scratches and all the time it may take in order to reach the top. Somewhere along the line to adulthood we lose our child-like will power. We become impatient and unwilling to try if it evolves effort or risk, leaving us in a constant state of... nothingness. 01.01.2022 Training gets hard, some days you really don’t want to hit the gym. This is the reason you need a WHY, a why isn’t as simple as I need to lose weight. A WHY is deeper than that, it needs to get you emotional at thought of not fulfilling. No one can tell you what this is, you need to discover it for yourself. So on those days you’re not feeling 100%, those days you’re not motivated and just don’t want to step foot inside the gym, your WHY will get you up and in the gym getting it done regardless.
