06.01.2022 . Challenge accepted! Today our dojo participated in the 100 Kata challenge for karate day! We have been doing this event for the last 4 or 5 years and it’s a great challenge for everyone involved with everyone feeling a great sense of accomplishment. We try to make this event inclusive so all our students can join in. Our @minikarate_ performed 100’s of punches, kicks and blocks, while guided in small groups by our dojo mentors. The younger students who knew a Kata were... encouraged to do as many Kata repetitions as possible with a dojo mentors leadership. Our open class saw the challenge taken very seriously with most students completing between 70-130 Kata repetitions . I am so incredibly proud of the effort everyone displayed.
