24.01.2022 and just like that, lockdown is over (well at 6pm tonight) We’re back in the gym from tomorrow morning (Tuesday) for all services. We have thoroughly cleaned & disinfected every inch of the gym and will continue to do so throughout the week. If you’re coming in, don’t forget your face masks! Good job Brisbane #brisbanegym

19.01.2022 Do these 4 MOBILITY EXERCISES before your next FRONT SQUATS . Probably the biggest exercise clients have issues with is Front Squats. Clients come to us saying it hurts their back, they can’t get into the correct position and it just generally doesn’t feel good. These are a few of the exercises we get clients to do BEFORE front squats to improve their front rack mobility.... Give them a try and let us know how you go

16.01.2022 A big mistake we see when clients first come to us is that they’ve been favouring specific muscle groups in their training and completely neglecting others. An example of this is only performing quad dominant (anterior chain, e.g. squats, leg extensions) exercises and neglecting the opposing muscle groups (posterior chain, e.g. Deadlifts, Hamstring Curls, Hip Thrusts). Why is this a problem? Firstly, this can cause muscular & strength imbalances which increases your risk of i...njury. Secondly, if you’re training for aesthetic purposes, this will create a lack of symmetry throughout the body. Moral of the story? When you’re training, follow a well-rounded program that targets all muscle groups! If you need help with this, come & see us. #brisbanefitness #brisbanefit

03.01.2022 This is our 6-10 year olds kids class (plus a little extra 3 year old addition). These kids are absolute champions In a 60 minute session, they do a combination of; the beep test, weight lifting (deadlifts and back squats), chin ups, push ups, burpees, lunges, kickboxing and always a few games to finish (butt tiggy is always a favourite ). We’re opening up some more time slots for kids (5-10yrs) and older kids/teens (10-15yrs) when the school term starts up again.... If you want to bring your kids along to get strong, fit and confident.. let us know
