25.01.2022 An amazing lodge with conservation values- well done

25.01.2022 Lord Howe Island has been named #5 in the Lonely Planet Top 10 Regions to visit in 2020. Described as a shining example of sustainably managed tourism, Lord Howe Island is praised by Lonely Planet for only allowing 400 visitors at any time and encouraging tourists to participate in ecological projects. LHI Conservation Volunteers have made a valuable contribution to research and ongoing ecological programs on Lord Howe Island over the past 2 years and we would like to thank... all of our volunteers and contributors who have added to our Lord Howe Island conservation legacy. A legacy that begun more than 100 years ago and continues today as we seek to maintain and further improve our standards of sustainability and encourage everyone who lives and visits our beautiful island to be caretakers of the amazing lifestyle and environment we enjoy. #protectingparadise #worldclass #volunteers #caretaking #lordhoweisland Oxley Travel Cheeki Lord Howe Island Tourism Lord Howe Island Museum Lord Howe Island Marine Park

Big thank you to all our volunteers and the team from #melbournezoo who helped restore Blackburn Island during July & August! An extra big thank you to the wonderful volunteer group the 'Friends of Lord Howe' for dedicating their time and expertise yesterday.
