22.01.2022 BIG BASH CLUB MEMBERSHIPS Every year, the two Melbourne Big Bash teams put a special "Club Membership Option" together for you to offer your members. Usually sitting at around $10 for kids and $35 for adults, you can either build this into your junior and/or senior fees which will give every player a 2-game membership pack (almost two for one). Alternately you can now add this membership as a "product" during your online registration process, allowing those who are interested... to take it up. Every milestone you hit for Club Memberships, you will receive a prize - usually sitting at 10 members, 30 members, 60 members and then the major Cash prize for the club with the most members! This is a great value-add item that shows your members you are giving back to them and providing a great club experience, that can also earn your club rewards! Something to discuss at your next committee meeting to table whether to include in your club fees at the AGM or ensure you are ready and organised to make it available for your members come season proper! Check out the link below for information on how this worked the season just gone. LINK: http://bit.ly/BBLMembership

17.01.2022 ELECTRONIC SCORING IN 2020 The Outer East Metro region was one of the highest for uptake of Electronic Scoring over the past season. Thank you to all the club's, players, volunteers and parent's who contributed to this over the season. For those new to electronic Scoring, you can download an app via the App Store that will allow you to use "One Touch" scoring. Removing the need to have to mark one ball in three or four different places, you can now do it automatically with th...e touch of a button. Check out some of the videos at the link below for a brief introduction into how some of these features work in a series of different situations! E-Scoring Demo's: http://bit.ly/ScoringVideos For those looking to give it a go, you can download the app at any time and score along to a demo match - located via the link below. Demo Match: https://bit.ly/EScoreDemo Aside from being a far easier way for those new to the game to help out with scoring, after the game - you can automatically upload the game results and stats which will save your club volunteers hours of extra work from their weekend! 10.01.2022 Hello Eagles. It is with sadness that I advise you, my Eagles family, that I no longer will be custodian of cricket in the Outer East. I have decided to take a package and look to the future, whatever that may be. I wanted to send a message to you all saying that I have truly loved every minute of my time watching, nurturing, debating, teaching, mentoring, supporting, discussing, participating in this great game with you all. ... All things must come to an end and I’m so very grateful that I’ve been able to make a small contribution to the many volunteers, players, officials, presidents and committees along with parents and extended family that I’ve come in contact with and thank you, whole heartedly, for everything we have accomplished together. My greatest wish is that you all achieve your highest goal and smile whilst you strive for it. Cricket was designed for fun and if you play the game in your heart space and not your head space, you will achieve anything. Whilst I have finished my time with CV, I will still be in operation until May 15, where the journey will end. The new CV structure, I’m sure, will be delivered to you all in the near future, however what it looks like I do not know. My email address will be [email protected], I hope to retain my phone number if any one would like to use it. My door is always open. Until we meet again. It’s my #timetosoar Long Live Cricket!

07.01.2022 Safeguarding Children and Young People The Off-season is the perfect time to now re-visit your club's compliance to legislation around adopting a Safeguarding Children and Young People policy. Cricket Australia has put together a policy specific to Cricket Club's that you can adopt which will meet all legislative requirements. ... These policies are not just about preventing any harm coming to our kids. They're also about making sure your club is a welcoming and supportive environment for young people to thrive. Checkout the Outer East Eagles website for two simple and easy to follow documents which will outline exactly what you need to do, and what to check off to ensure you're meeting your obligations. Well done to all those club's in the Outer East who have adopted the policy and are living those values. LINK: http://bit.ly/EaglesChildSafety
