24.01.2022 Congratulations to Woy Woy Branch

22.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS to Diane Quigley on presentation of her Long Service Badge at George's River AGM. Diane has been recognised for her commitment to Cumberland Evening Branch ( now closed) where she joined then to George's River Branch. She also was Phillip Groups Treasurer and A nE Officer. Di will put her hand up for most things and is a enthusiastic and friendly member. Lucky us for having Di in our Branch.

22.01.2022 Lovely gift package from our twinning branch Coonamble. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our members and friends!

20.01.2022 According to the Aboriginal people of the D'harawal nation, as we move into April, we are moving into Marrai’gang (the wet becoming cooler season) on the D'hara...wal calendar. This season runs up until June. "It's the time of the year when the cries of the Marrai'gang (Quoll) seeking his mate can be heard through the forests and woodlands, and when the lilly pillys ripen on the trees. However, when the lilly pillys start to fall, it is time to mend the old warm cloaks from last cold season, or make new ones, and begin the yearly trek to the coastal areas." 14.01.2022 Meeting together after a long time!

12.01.2022 The plan was to meet at Westfield Miranda and catch a movie as our Branch bi monthly Cultural outing. Couldn't decide on movie.Coffee time. There we stayed chatting over brunch for hours. Plotted our entry in the Group handicraft comp. Chatted some more to discover that Sue and I worked in the same office in 1972! Sometimes all the best laid plans are not so important as just chatting..and coffee! Thanks for the wonderful morning ladies. So enjoyed it!

09.01.2022 Our branch cookery event was a great success! Thanks to Christine D for organising and to our lovely judge Wailyn. Thanks to all the entrants for contributing to a great competition and congratulations to the 1st and 2nd placegetters who can now go on to compete at Group. Some of us stayed after the competition to have a lovely lunch at the Mortdale RSL Club bistro.
