25.01.2022 Although we are not all about tea and scones, it is however what we are most famous for so seeing it is National Scone Day, we thought we would celebrate by showing you some of our scone making efforts..... Do you have a favourite scone recipe? Feel free to share your pictures, even your secret recipe.... What about the debate over jam and cream? Jam underneath the cream or over the top
24.01.2022 Even during Covid restrictions we are still having our meetings with the help of technology. Today was a craft afternoon making teabag holders to put in the letterboxes with little messages attached to the people in our neighbourhoods.... just another simple and easy way to reach out to our neighbours during these times and to show that we care.
24.01.2022 Our friends from the Morwell Historical Society have the Bunnings Sausage today in Morwell pop down for lunch
24.01.2022 Here is your chance to learn the secret recipe of our very famous delicious scones, click on the link and bake away, don't forget to share a picture of your finished product on our page, don't forget the jam and cream, maybe lemon curd and cream. What is your favourite?.... it is a great day for baking

20.01.2022 During these Covid restrictions some of our more vulnerable residents are feeling more isolated than ever and our CWA group wanted to show them that we care. So some care packs were put together and some of our lovely ladies handed them out to some very happy recipients... please reach out to our vulnerable, check in with our elderly neighbours... we are all in it together #cwamorwellevening #morwell #cwa Latrobe Valley Express Morwell Noticeboard

18.01.2022 We are very proud of our CWA group, as with all community groups we are missing the important work we do in the community, our meetings and social get togethers. We are always on the look out for new members to come and join us in what we all love doing. Here are a few Facts about the CWA in Morwell as we start thinking about celebrating 80 years of CWA in Morwell, how remarkable is that? Does anyone have any memorabilia from years gone past that they may like to share with ...us. Please let us know. First meeting March 1941..... 15 members 1942....... 21 members 1943........22 members 1944........13 members 1945........20 members 1946........54 members 1947........64 members numbers steadily increased over the next few years with 1956 recording 108 members which is huge when you take into account the size of our town back then. Keep up to date with our page as we continue to add some more fun facts about our group from years past See more

07.01.2022 In recognition of National Volunteer's week we thought we would share with you some of our images of our group participating and working in our community and for our community. We are very proud to be a part of a National organisation such as CWA, continuing the great work we all do. Women with big hearts who are passionate, reaching out and helping those who are in need, developing community spirit, forming social connections and friendships. From Foster kids to Bush fire relief, Australia day celebrations, Anzac Day commemorations, craft collaborations to Rose Garden festivals, food bank donations or just a social get together here and there. As volunteers we feel a lot of satisfaction from all that we do and love every minute of it. #cwamorwellevening
