25.01.2022 Today the Paynesville Lions Club donated to CWA of Victoria $5000.00 for East Gippsland Drought Relief. Here is Group President, Joanne Alderman accepting this generous donation with Stuart Chapman, President of Paynesville Lions and a few of his merry men. Thank you so much to all Paynesville Lions members for this wonderful donation which will be distributed to farming families within the East Gippsland region.

22.01.2022 Day three already .. Ecumenical service this morning very moving and beautifully inclusive. Then morning tea .. who can resist those cakes. Ladies two deep at the ACWW/CWA shop .. the bells for the next session had been rung but the ladies were not going to be rushed. The beautiful women from South Africa and another little blue bird with pink scarf. 4 resolutions to pass today and Area President reports.
22.01.2022 Touring day finished. We took a total of 170 women and their partners down The Great Ocean Road, into the Yarra Valley, to Warragul and to see the Fairy Penguins. Everyone had a fantastic time. Thanks to the CWA hosts on each tour, Jenny Nola, Marion Dewar, Gwen Mason and myself for keeping everyone on time and continuing the friendships made over the past few days.
22.01.2022 On Tuesday 04 December 2018, the East Gippsland CWA Group which consists of Bengworden, Bairnsdale Amaroo and Lakes Entrance branches went to Orbost and held a Drop in and have a Cuppa day for the farmers of the region. About 50 farmers popped in during the course of the day and we gave them good old fashioned hospitality - scones, sponges, sandwiches and of course a cuppa. We held this day to let the farmers know that CWA cares about them and that they are not alone. As... they arrived we handed them a lucky door ticket. Every 45 minutes we drew a ticket and they won a huge hamper full of food. The last winner was a young mum with 4 children under 6 who said "This will keep us going for a couple of weeks and it means I can buy Christmas presents for the kids" after which we all sobbed! To all the CWA ladies to helped on-the-day or sent along food if they couldnt attend, a big thank you and a job well done is in order. We are also hoping to do another couple of Drop in and have a Cuppa days in February and March 2019. Thank you also to Coles Bairnsdale for donating $100 worth of food for the hampers and Advantage Chemist Bairnsdale for Revlon products; Yates Media & REG FM for promoting the event and our city branches: Essendon, Niddrie and Point Cook for the wonderful jams, relishes, pickles and other goodies. A real team effort and a great day had by all. See more

02.01.2022 Closing Ceremony and we are nearly done. Just Wednesday post touring to go. Everybody had a wonderful World Conference. I have learnt so much about ACWW and the work they do worldwide. We have to look further than just our own backyard and spare a thought for our sisters who live in poverty everyday.
02.01.2022 Happy Bengworden members on the ACWW Walk at the Sale Botanical Gardens.
02.01.2022 Another CWA East Gippsland Craft weekend. We all had a marvellous time talking, eating, sewing, creating and sharing ideas. Everything from quilting, tatting, bobbin lace and toy making. Some gorgeous quilts underway too. Then their were those knitting, embroidering and crocheting. Such a sharing of skills and, above all friendship. We already have 20 committed to 2020. Watch this space.
