19.01.2022 Ann O,Brien CWC's Melbourne Office Administrator is retiring. Ann's last day is tomorrow Friday 6th May, 2016. Ann has been with CWC for 8 years and previously worked along side her husband Robert O'Brien at Chemical Fluid Systems. Robert has been retired for 5 years and now with Ann being home during the day his easy and relaxed lifestyle is about to come to an abrupt end. 14.01.2022 CWC BLOWDOWN CONTROLLERS The Convergent Water Controls (CWC), Blow Down, Bleed & Time Based Blow Down Controllers all come with steam rated manifold components. The BLOWDOWN CONTROLLERS' blowdown or idle period starts after every sample depending on conductivity level with the sample time, blowdown time & idle periods are independently programmable. The BOILER BLEED CONTROLLER has a repeating cycle for the Bleed & Idle Times. The blowdown time is set in seconds or minutes and the idle time is set in minutes or hours. The BOILER TIME BASED CONTROLLERS' blowdown period occurs every time boiler feed pump stops (i.e.boiler full). The blowdown time is programmable.

11.01.2022 EMEC ERMES Server Online. When purchasing an EMEC Control unit with ETHERNET or 3G configuration, you can connect it by creating a free ERMES account. Once logged in you can set up your site locations, assign them a name and then insert all your plants and EMEC control instruments in a simple, intuitive and safe way. 07.01.2022 Recently CWC was consulted and commissioned by Monash University regarding water monitoring at The Jock Marshal Reserve. The water monitoring consists of pH, Temp, DO, Turbidity, water flow and Conductivity with an inbuilt data logger configured to interact with Monash's web interface. This allows students and research analysts to login and study data in real-time, hourly, weekly, monthly or annually. 06.01.2022 Off the success of their first installation, Biemond Nurseries have installed their second EMEC Lotus Chlorine Dioxide Generator. Their Wandin nursery site can grow well over 250,000 seedlings and plants at any one time. As part of their water conservation program, run off water is collected from the site in a 15,000 litre day watering tank. 04.01.2022 Chlorine Dioxide (CLO2) based biological control systems are used in a variety of industries as a primary method for control of micro-organisms in water systems, from controlling bacteria in food processing to Legionella in cooling towers. Its use in the treatment of water has been driven by an increased awareness of biological related health issues. It is commonly used as a dispersive treatment, this means that the chlorine dioxide is dosed into the water system and travel...s around the entire water system. This ensure a residual level of CLO2 which can continue to kill bacteria in all areas of the system that it reaches and not just at the point of use. This helps to explain why chlorine dioxide is so effective. ClO2 in its pure form, exists at room temperature as a gas and dissolves in water, the EMEC LOTUS range of Chlorine Dioxide Generators are designed so there is no requirement to handle this as a gas, instead two liquid precursor chemicals, Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) and Sodium Chlorite (NaCl02) reacted together, the resultant solution being the chlorine dioxide required. The EMEC LOTUS system can dose proportional to the circulating water or based on the measurement set point. EMEC LOTUS does not store the chlorine dioxide therefore there is no chlorine dioxide gas or concentrated solutions outside of the process application.
