16.01.2022 We are a clinical Pilates MBCT specialist clinic, dedicated to your care. We are often asked for definitions of the terms MBCT and clinical Pilates. What does it all mean? Clinical Pilates is a form of treatment used following an in depth examination of the client and formulation of a programme to address the issues determined by that examination. (Thanks to Kelly Morcombe, experienced clinician in Jurien Bay WA for that definition!). MBCT stands for Movement Based Classifica...tion Treatment. We understand that movement is key to management of your condition and phrases such as "Movement is Medicine" often crop up. The real key is determining how to move you. Our Movement Based Classification enables us to discover that key, turn it specifically and activate it. This is how we turn movement into medicine and treatment. Our team comprises three physiotherapists. Moz Quinn, Leigh Hobday and Philipa Seth, all highly trained to be clinical pilates specialists. Future posts are to follow. See more

15.01.2022 Thank you so much Tim Barnwell, APA Sports Physiotherapist, for the great advice that you shared with Jessica Strutt on ABC radio yesterday. Tim provided listeners with invaluable insight into what can be achieved through a Telehealth consultation. He also sought to reinforce the message that Physiotherapy is an essential service and that private practices are still open to provide care for our clients. Physiotherapists have been trained in the hospital system and as such are well versed at maintaining strict standards of hygiene to meet the Covid-19 requirements. So for a patient, attending a Physiotherapy clinic is safe. #australianphysiotherapyassociation #timbarnwell

15.01.2022 Our principal Moz Quinn has just spent the last three days co-presenting on the DMA Clinical Pilates - Physiotherapy Unit A course in Perth. 17 highly talented physios were trained on the course, in the assessment and treatment of patients who present with complex pain issues as well as movement dysfunctions. Craig Phillips from DMA lead the course via zoom technology from his base in Mornington Victoria. This proved to be a huge success and truly represents the future of clinical education in Australia and globally. Big thanks to Leigh Hobday, physio from Complete Wellness Physiotherapy for her assistance and Therese Reeves from Physiotherapy Posture Pilates for copresenting. Finally, thank you Central City Physiotherapy Clinic for hosting the event

11.01.2022 THERE IS A BETTER ALTERNATIVE! If you have chronic low back pain this 7 minute video is worth watching. Treatment for back pain costs the nation almost $5 billion a year as more patients undergo expensive, often unnecessary and complex surgery. This segment proposes a structured physiotherapy programme as being a legitimate and evidence-based alternative. Some (including Professor Ian Harris)argue theres little evidence that procedures such as spinal fusion are always the best option, and a new approach to treating back pain is needed.

11.01.2022 We have updated our website to provide some really informative content about the management of chronic tendon problems. if you have a problematic tendon that simply isn't improving with rest or injections or various forms of exercise, a visit to one of our physios trained in the use of radial shockwave therapy would be of benefit. Attached below is everything you need to know. http://www.completewellnessphysio.com.au//radial-shockwav/

10.01.2022 Physiotherapists are urging Australians not to delay treatment because of COVID-19, with Australian Physiotherapy Association National President Phil Calvert saying its time to go back to healthcare providers and address ongoing health conditions or new issues that may have arisen during isolation https://australian.physio//physios-urge-australians-not-de

09.01.2022 Please take a minute to listen to a message I recoded yesterday. Physiotherapy is an essential service and as such we are open for business as usual. We are doing everything we can to meet the strict demands that the Coronavirus pandemic has enforced upon us, to ensure your safely when you visit our clinic. In the event you are unable to attend, but still require our help, Telehealth is available to you. Please like, comment and share this post to be in the running to rece...ive a Professional pack 500ml of Better Nature Cream, normally valued at $86. Thank you for your continued support and we hope to see you soon @Better Nature Hayto & Co

08.01.2022 If you have osteoarthritis, this 6 minute segment is a worthwhile listen. My good friend Geoff Hutchison interviewing Specialist Physiotherapist JP Caneiro from Curtin University. Managing OA takes more than popping a pill or slathering on some anti inflammatory gel. It requires lifestyle adjustment and progressive exercise, all of which is well within our control. Thanks ABC for such a great segment. The Physio community has received some great coverage this week

08.01.2022 The evidence points towards a poor correlation between what the radiological findings of a scan shows, and how the patient in front of you moves and functions. Nothing beats a thorough clinical assessment by an experienced physiotherapist, who will determine how best to get you moving and functioning well. Because (correct) #movement=medicine. #movewell

05.01.2022 Health Insurance Faces Radical Surgery Now that elective surgery has been temporarily banned, Australians are being forced to rethink how they engage with their private health insurer. NIB is taking a lead at driving this rethinking process... .....including proposing ALTERNATIVES to joint replacement surgery.... Perhaps Jack doesnt need his knee replaced, Fitzgibbon (NIBs CEO) proposes. Perhaps Jack can achieve as good an outcome in terms of mobility and pain relief by losing weight, physiotherapy and some pharmaceutical. So there is now this concern around hospitalisation and disease. We will see new norms of behaviour as a consequence. https://www.google.com//n/2e086e728dafefca69a17c57deea22f2

03.01.2022 The Australian Minister for Health Mr Greg Hunt has today confirmed that ALL allied Health businesses can continue working, and are encouraged to do so. In addition he has indicated that they are now developing full Allied Health Telehealth options within the week for Allied Health along with all other health and medical services. This will be part of a staged plan. Face-to-face services for many remain vital. ... At Complete Wellness Physiotherapy we are taking all precautions necessary to ensure the safe delivery of face-to-face services to you. Should you have any concerns, please feel free to leave a comment below, contact me personally by DM, or phone our clinic on 92934527. Best wishes Moz Quinn

02.01.2022 Excellent article in todays The Conversation, by Professor Ian Harris, Orthopaedic Surgeon in Sydney. Now that elective surgical procedures (joint replacement surgery, spinal surgery) have for the time being been abandoned, there exists a care gap. Many patients are in pain and unable to move well. There is a significant opportunity to see that gap filled. Professor Harris contrasts surgical vs rehab outcomes, which highlights that Physiotherapy and exercise can play a... key role in managing such patients. If you have had to put off your elective surgery and are struggling, please consider Physiotherapy as an option to help you.

02.01.2022 Our clinic is delighted to now offer our patients access to the incredible high end treatment technology that is Radial Shockwave Therapy. Please read the attached link below that summarises all the important information you need. Please contact Moz Quinn Physiotherapy if you require further information or one of our friendly team at the clinic 92934527 http://www.completewellnessphysio.com.au//radial-shockwav/

01.01.2022 Physiotherapy is an ESSENTIAL service, which last night was reiterated by our Prime Minister. Despite this, The West Australian has declared that Allied Health services are banned. This is inaccurate, misleading and irresponsible reporting and I call on the Australian Physiotherapy Association to contact the newspaper to retract this comment

01.01.2022 Our principal Physiotherapist Moz Quinn will be teaching on the DMA clinical Pilates course in Perth from Aug 14-16th. DMA Clinical Pilates - Physiotherapy sets the benchmark in the training of Physiotherapists. DMAs founder Craig Phillips is the global authority in clinical Pilates and has over the last 30 years trained and established a network in Australia of 15000 Physiotherapists. He has perfected an incredible clinical model for the treatment of chronic pain and dysfun...ction, which not only is second to none, but is highly evidence based. The Perth course will be unique. Due to Covid, Craig is unable to fly in to WA. Moz Quinn will be running the course "on the ground" at Central City Physiotherapy Clinic. Craig will be attending via zoom. There will be roaming cameras, to make the experience fully interactive between the participants, myself and Craig. This will be a unique learning experience that the Physiotherapists attending will thoroughly benefit from
