For thousands of years the wells supplied good, sweet water to the local Aboriginal Tribe. The traditional people are the Mandandanji Tribe. The water flowed through them keeping it fresh and clean. A stone was placed over the top to keep out debris and animals. The wells are of immense local historical and cultural importance. ...
