18.01.2022 Unexpected- overwhelming indecision. This is my submission for bimonthly challenge at the #filminglifeacademy It’s a chance for us to be creative and push the boundaries. The theme this time? ~UNEXPECTED~... It’s the first time I’ve had some real breathing space since the kids were born so this little bit of freedom has left me with unexpected ambivalence and emotion. Torn between wanting some me time, and needing to work or study or clean, I’m at war with myself with what I want to do. I end up doing a little bit of everything and not enough on anything. The absolute joy of the house being quiet but also the conflicting feeling of the loud silence. I hope I’ve portrayed this sense of utter indecision about how I feel. I surprised myself trying some new techniques and using a different genre of music. Not sure if there’s too many double exposures but I feel it added to the movement - especially since I filmed on a tripod a lot. I feel it conveyed sort of a state of mind of dreaming yet erratic. How did you feel when you had that little bit of freedom for the first time? What did you get up to? #filminglifearthouse

15.01.2022 The best thing about documentary family photography is that it does just that. It documents how you spend your time. I’ve heard horror stories from friends of their experience having a family photo shoot, and every time they look at that strange image hanging on the wall they cringe! I can’t tell you how much fun the kids had whilst I was shooting this session. I absolutely LOVE capturing kids being free to do what they love. ... That’s when the real magic happens. Their expressions and behaviours really represent how they are feeling at the time. They don’t have to pose awkwardly and they never have to perform in front of my camera. I like to think of myself as an Aunty coming over to hang out, then everyone’s comfortable and happy. See more

11.01.2022 Tina and Stephen’s wedding celebration This wedding!!! So vibrant and colourful. The bride and groom wore colourful outfits as did their special people and the theme for the rest of the party people was either black and/ or white. ... Tina and Stephen finally got to have their wedding celebration after around a year of plans being cancelled due to covid. That didn’t stop them from putting on stellar party. Initially they were to get married in Orvieto in Italy, as Stephen is from Ireland and Tina from Australia - it was a good semi half way point and a beautiful spot nonetheless. Of course then covid hit and Italy shut down. Unfortunately they lost all deposits paid but didn’t lose their spirits and they decided to get married in Ireland instead on the same date. But of course that was cancelled too. Just before the lockdown in Melbourne they moved to Wagga to get some country air and to be closer to family and decided to get the legalities of marriage out the way with a small ceremony with just 5 peeps ( including pooch Wesley) and had a live stream for people afar, thinking perhaps they’d have a party at the local bowls club later on when covid died down. But yup you guessed it that got cancelled too. Finally they booked the Collingwood children’s farm ( which almost got cancelled too due to the Sydney outbreak) Tina’s parents almost didn’t make it to Victoria as they were held up in Longreach and then only just scrapped in their quarantine period before the wedding!!! But after all of that they finally had this amazing celebration with their family and friends. It was an absolute hoot!

09.01.2022 Well let’s say UP YOURS 2020!! goodbye and good riddance right! I haven’t done much client work for photography this year understandably, and even once restrictions eased I had to concentrate on @cybooshihair as I had such a back log of clients. Both are my passions and loves but there’s seriously not enough time in the week to do both atm. Hoping to dedicate a bit more time in 2021 to Cybelle Jones Photography with my youngest at kinder and NO COVID ( fingers crossed).... Thanks for all the love and support throughout the years. Looking forward to documenting your life through my lens in 2021! Have a wonderful Christmas break and we’ll see you all in the new year See more
