22.01.2022 The month may not have finished but an early well done to Jessica! Jess has had a fantastic month but most importantly, she has become a real specialist in the GRC and Security Architecture recruitment space. Our Director Ricki Burke said "I'm happy to admit that her knowledge of the intricacies in Risk and Compliance and the difference between types of architects already outweighs my own." Enjoy your weekend on the slopes!

18.01.2022 One of our first posts coming back to work had to be about the horrific bushfires destroying much of our country and causing heartache, distress and worse to so many. It is truly heartbreaking and strange having mixed feelings of being fortunate that we haven't yet suffered in our area and guilty that so many have. CyberSec People has made its first donation ($1250, I know it's not a Chris Hemsworth size donation but it all counts) to one of the Bushfire Disaster appeal funds.... We plan on making more contributions and will donate 10% of our profits for placements made in January. We donated to the VIC Bushfire Disaster Appeal (100% of donations will be directed to communities in need) but am aware of others needing support. I know there are some great initiatives out there and want to help raise more awareness. What other bushfire related appeals can we help?

06.01.2022 2018 - our year in numbers. Here is a breakdown of what has been a great year, although not one without its challenges and learnings along the way. I would like to thank every single person that has been involved as part of this ongoing journey, every person we have placed, every company we are happy to partner with, every like, comment, message and to each person that has been so warm in welcoming a recruiter to part of the infosec community. There is no hiding behind the numbers, and I'm pretty proud of what we have achieved this year. I plan on 2019 being an even bigger year for the business and plenty more support for people in the infosec community.

04.01.2022 In the search for better work-life balance, increased productivity and mental health in today's fast-paced world CyberSec People is starting a 4.5 day week, with incentives to reduce that to 4 days. This is a 6-month trial. If we can prove this to be a success, it lays the foundation for a permanently shorter week.

04.01.2022 Ashish Rajan - Practice Director - Security & Identity of Versent, Founder of DevSecOps Melbourne and Ricki Burke of CyberSec People have launched That security Podcast. Each episode will have a different theme within infosec and have guest speakers sharing their expertise and experiences. Let either of us know if you'd like to get involved in a future episode. For our first podcast, we chose the subject of CPS234 and had the pleasure of Adrian Kitto sharing his knowledge on... this crucial standard. Link is in the comments
