24.01.2022 CYC a place where kids can be kids and when given the opportunity will build a tower out of barrels because. well they can! The camps that come through our site run the camps how they like. Some have structured activities that build resilience through a variety of programs but also offer free time for attendees to do their own thing. It is always great to see what their imagination will create. Individually on their own they may be barrels, squares or blocks but together ...they could be a spaceship about the head into space or a cubby house for a family of soft toys. What do your children like to build?
23.01.2022 Its Survivor Day with the older kids group at Vacation Care. Those who are willing will step up to challenges presented throughout the day that will test their knowledge and physical ability with there being one winner. Who will be crowned the sole Survivor?

22.01.2022 In January CYC was host to the Master Builders camp. It was a great success. The camp had 47 children attend from an array of backgrounds, building social skills, life skills and positive relationships between campers and leaders. The camp included activities such as the flying fox, a slippery slide, quiz night and different day to day activities, all of which the children said they loved. Thanks to all those who supported the camp. We can't wait to do it again next January.

15.01.2022 Thanks to Lotterywest, CYC was successful in receiving a grant to purchase a new defibrillator that is now located on-site. The defibrillator is a vital piece of equipment to have on-site as it can make the difference between life and death should a sudden cardiac arrest occur. CYC has the health and safety at the forefront of our minds when it comes to our campers and visitors so we are thankful for this new purchase.

11.01.2022 Did you know that CYC has its own mini golf? This is a fan favourite! Not only does it get everyone outside on a nice day but encourages children to work on their social skills and learn about sportsmanship and fair play. A little bit of healthy competition is in order but it also helps demonstrate an understanding of rules and how to be respectful to others. Our mini golf course also helps children practice their hand-eye coordination in a fun way! Even the adults may need a... little more practice with this skill. When was the last time you played mini golf? Ensure this activity is on your next camp at CYC!

05.01.2022 Those Friday feels because it is the weekend! An adults excitement that it is the weekend is probably the same as what these children were feeling when going down the water slide at a recent camp pure joy! Looking forward to the time we can do activities like this again!
04.01.2022 Missed our recent competition? We are loving hearing everyone's stories about how they came to know CYC and their most loved aspect of our great facility. You still have time to enter, so put your creative cap on and submit a 20 second video explaining "Why you love CYC'.... The best video will win a $50 Stockland Shopping Centre Voucher.
03.01.2022 The CYC dining hall is a chance for all our campers to come together and share a meal with each other. It also helps to develop communication between campers as it encourages attendees to talk about their day. The meals prepared by our singing Chef Chris focus on healthy eating and offer a variety of meal selections. It is also surprising as to how many new foods campers (especially the children) may eat on camp that they may not necessarily like at home thanks to a change ...in how it may be presented or just because it is offered in a difference place. Not everyone may like every food choice on offer, but we certainly provide a range of food for even the fussiest of eaters!
03.01.2022 The tiredness and perhaps overwhelming exhaustion that children may experience after school might result in a tight-lipped child. Here are some great alternative conversation starters than the usual How was your day? to perhaps try around the dinner table or at bath time?
