23.01.2022 Time to Climb!! I'm doing Corkscrew tomorrow morning with Daz and Mick if anyone else keen to join! We'll meet 8:30am at High St Cafe in Kensington ... 36km - 2hrs (roughly) Up Corkscrew - down Norton - back to cafe Cafe Address https://g.co/kgs/cJAgbN Mick on his flat bar, first time up Corkscrew I'm on Fuji, I've only done Corkscrew once, over a year ago, flat bar no clips Msg me if you need otherwise see you at the cafe tomorrow 8:30!! 22.01.2022 My New Nemesis! The first climb I've quit on, it was so hard! 21% avg gradient and 30% in some sections, I just couldn't do it! ... I was doing ok for the first part, but then I turned into a segment called 'Hells Driveway' That name should have been warning enough! When I looked up and saw what I was in for I lost confidence in myself I had a similar feeling doing Coach Rd but I knew I could make it, this time I just knew I couldn't... I pictured myself falling with my clip-ins if I kept going! so I turned into a driveway It's interesting as it's the first time I've actually felt afraid doing a climb, the clip-ins give an edge to it After saying all of that... definitely add 'Tregenza Extension' to your list of Strava Climbing Challenges!! I'll be back to conquer it soon! 12.01.2022 The Mike Turtur with Pat Jonker! Always awesome catching up with this dude and talking all things Cycling! The Mike Turtur Bikeway is a separated bike path from the city to Glenelg... It runs alongside the tramline About 10km one way Ideal for families, commuters and anyone wanting to enjoy a day at the beach It connects with Sturt River Linear Path, Westside Bikeway and Park Lands Trail Note you can't take your bike on the tram Next time we'll have to ride the Patrick Jonker Veloway, I think there may be some sort of connection there! 09.01.2022 City - Veloway - Coast - Linear Path My favourite bike path loop! What I love about this loop is that it has a little bit of everything...... Climbing on the Veloway Stunning views along the Coast Path Trees, river and horses on Linear Path Here are the bike paths in order that I rode Park Lands Trail Marino Rocks Greenway Sturt River Linear Path Patrick Jonker Veloway Coast to Vines Coast Path Linear Path Park Lands Trail Note this loop is entirely on bikeways, however there are two sections where it can be a tad confusing if you're not familiar Message me if you'd like more details Shout out to all the interesting people I met along the way today! 01.01.2022 Hi Everyone An update on Wednesday's km ride! We will now ride from Willunga to Gawler... This is because apparently it's going to be very windy going the other way!
