We are looking for cyclists who have cycled around Australia to gather in Parkes, NSW to share your incredible cycling stories, meet like minded cyclists, have some fun and participate in short 50-100km bike rides. This event is open to all cyclists who have ridden around Australia, or parts of Australia. Join us for a long weekend of fun, cycling and story telling. 18.01.2022 Riding around Western Australia everything is huge. It may be the long trains or the salt pile at Port Hedland or the mine at Kalgoorlie. Over Easter 2022 you will have a chance to show all your photos and tell your stories. This will be a weekend to not only tell your stories but also to encourage and help the poor souls who would like to do an extended tour but need the help from the experienced to hit the road. The Parkes community is working at giving you a great Easter in Parkes over the 2022 Easter weekend with camping or motel accommodation available. Anybody who has or wants to do a long distance tour in Australia or overseas are welcome over the weekend. What an opportunity it will be for those who hoping to do a touring ride to meet those who have done so and would love to pass on their knowledge. To this end we would like experienced cyclist to share their experiences about and the do's and do not's about Routes and how to source Cycle and tyres etc.... Camping and equipment Food and water availability. How to handle road trains The more experienced touring cyclists who come to Parkes to help our future touring cyclists the more who will give it ago and the more services will be offered to cyclists in the outer reaches of Australia.
