22.01.2022 Launceston - if you have limited time in Tassie, give this stop a miss. We stayed in Launceston for 4 nights at Old Macs Farm 4 km out of the CBD. My birthday was on Sunday and we did a day trip out to a lavender farm which was in flower and stopped on the way at Lillydale town markets, some cellar doors and short walk into the waterfall. 12.01.2022 Another memory from 5 years ago hiking the Arches NP in the USA, just south east of Aspen. Today here in Tasmania we are heading to Cradle Mountain. There are so many awesome places to see in this world!

10.01.2022 13/1/21 we are east of Cradle Mountain, easing back into our hiking boots with some short walks. Today we drove to a perched lake and hit our first cooler weather. Everyone who know us will appreciate I was super organised with a day pack stuffed with warm gear, and MB winged it with a long sleeve TShirt. At 12C he kept saying it’s not cold this film has a bleep at the end. Sorry Dad.

07.01.2022 13/1/21 part 2 of the day we walked into Liffey Falls. A short walk following the cascades to the bottom of the falls. A lovely formed trail meandering through the rainforest.

04.01.2022 The big cricket wicket!

01.01.2022 Meander Falls was our first more strenuous hike here in Tasmania. A level 3 hike, an unformed trail, bouldering for most of the 10km up and down some steep slopes, tested our hiking shoes and our emotions. We lost the trail route a few times but got there in the end. 5 hours for 10km is slow going. The falls are the highest in Tasmania. Very tired tonight.
