Louise, husband Phil Jones and daughter Hayley have an enormous amount of experience and are a huge benefit to Cycling in Queensland and Australia. Before you splurge on something fancy, check out the list below:... Take your current bike to a bicycle mechanic and get everything checked over. Check your air, brakes, chain and cranks before going out on your next ride. Think about carrying a spares kit, just in case you get a flat tyre and need to fix it on the go. Make sure that you are wearing comfortable and suitable clothes and closed in footwear. Make sure that you have a helmet, and that it is done up correctly. Don't forget to take your water bottle, riding a bike is thirsty work! See more
