23.01.2022 Does your car need a good wash? Well the kids at Albany Residential College will be conducting a Car Wash Fundraiser for the Cycling Without Age - Albany chapter on Saturday 17 October from 10am to 1pm in the new carpark on the corner of Middleton Rd & Campbell Rd. We'll see you there

21.01.2022 The Albany community was delivered a loan trishaw from Cycling Without Age Australia at the request of Chair of the new chapter, Cr Sandie Smith. This will enable locals to see for themselves what this amazing community initiative is all about, and hopefully raise interest and support, not only financially to purchase a trishaw dedicated to Albany, but also with volunteers who will ride the eBike along designated, pre-assessed routes. If you want to find out more, come to ALARC tomorrow morning and see the trishaw and have a chat with our friendly volunteers. A Bunnings Sausage Sizzle is also being held to raise funds to purchase our own trishaw so head on over this Saturday morning (19th) for a feed, whilst supporting a worthy cause

12.01.2022 At the request of a group of commuity minded citizens and public service staff, Cycling Without Age Australia did a roadshow in Albany earlier this year. Excitement at this community initiative grew as locals got to experience first hand the ebikes (trishaws) which are ridden by volunteers to take out those who are elderly or with disabilities. Despite a bit of a set back with Covid temporarily suspended these free community services, Albany chapter is now officially up and... running with a sub-committee working on fundraising for a trishaw to be permanently located in Albany for the benefit of their local community. 08.01.2022 A huge thank you to the kids from Albany Residential College who helped out yesterday with our first fundraising event at Bunnings. We are now well on our way to being able to order our first bike. Thank you to all who volunteered their time and for those who bought a sausage in a bun or made a donation. It's all highly appreciated by all involved.

05.01.2022 It is with having local support that a chapter will be formed in Albany and this is exactly what happened to enable a loan trishaw to be brought down this week. A huge shout out to Rob Whaley and his lovely wife Julie from Albany Fuel Service who assisted with the fuel for transporting it to Albany. 05.01.2022 On Sunday morning our Ride Captain, Paul Terry, participated in Alzheimers WA's Walk to Remember from Ellen Cove Middleton Beach to Griffiths St along the coastal pathway. However he didn't walk but piloted 4 passengers who couldn't walk the 4km distance. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the Cycling Without Age trishaw and it certainly created a lot of interest in what we're working towards setting up for the Albany community.
