21.01.2022 A busy weekend at beautiful Kent Street Weir as we held Intro Pilot Training on Saturday and did Pilot Competency Assessments on Sunday. Existing and new pilots were rewarded with scrumptious morning tea by Canning River Cafe which was made possible as part of a recent grant by City of Canning. This successful program would not exist without the generosity of time by our volunteers and financial support by our sponsors and community supporters so a HUGE thank you to all. Here’s to a busy 2021 in the saddle as we help to provide the joyful experience of being in a bike to those who cannot cycle themselves.

21.01.2022 Your support of us will in turn support our community-building, inclusive program designed particularly for the elderly or those with disabilities. Cant wait to be back out on the trishaws again with our passengers (stay tuned for when that will be)

19.01.2022 Kent Street Weir is proving a popular location for our trishaws, and rightly so. I have been a Canning resident living in nearby Lynwood for over thirty years and have been fortunate to have the Canning River Regional Park as my playground. As a volunteer Pilot/Community Captain for Cycling Without Age Canning it is my pleasure to share with passengers the joy of cycling and my love of the area as we take you on a free trishaw ride through the park, so that you* too get that ...wonderful feeling of the wind in your hair! Cycling Without Age Team Canning invite you* to come down any Friday between 9:30 and 11:30am and say hello. Or better still phone 0448447223 to make a booking, that way you are guaranteed a ride which is usually 30mins. *Our aim is to foster social connection and reduce loneliness in the community; do you know a senior or less able person who would enjoy a ride? #cyclingwithoutagewa #righttowindinyourhair #trishaws https://parks.dpaw.wa.gov.au/site/kent-street-weir

04.01.2022 How good is this? The City of Canning has received a grant to upgrade Greenfield Street bridge. The current 52m bridge forms part of our trishaw ride, and makes for a bone shaking ride across the old wooden bridge as we cross the Canning River at around the halfway mark in our 4km loop.

03.01.2022 Important announcement: Suspension of CWAA owned and operated chapter rides including Kent Street Weir. Due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak, we announce that Cycling Without Age Australia (CWAA) owned and operated trishaw passenger rides will be suspended effective immediately until further notice. ... Cycling Without Age Australia is following the situation very carefully. All the best from Leanne & The Team.

03.01.2022 Champagne and cake at Kent Street Weir as Cycling Without Age Canning celebrates ‘One year at the Weir’ on a pleasantly cooler day than 13th December 2019 when we sweltered through a 40+ degree day with Mayor Patrick Hall - City of Canning and friends.
