25.01.2022 Today is World Mental Health Day, and marks the beginning of WA’s Mental Health Week. Today we are at Wireless Hill with three trishaws with lots of chats smiles from passengers & pilots! @ Wireless Hill Park

25.01.2022 Our awesome volunteers doing their briefing ride prior to taking our passengers.

25.01.2022 Our friends establishing a Cycling Without Age chapter in Parramatta are needing a little more money to get over the line with their funding goal - and only 2 hours to go! So perhaps I could encourage you to make a donation as a Christmas present to a stranger by enabling this program to allow others to experience the joy and freedom of being out on the trishaw. What a wonderful gift that would be!

24.01.2022 Today was International Day of People with Disabilities and we were privileged to be asked by City of Belmont to bring our trishaws along for their All Abilities event. It was a case of quality not quantity for our rides as we ventured through the beautiful grounds of Faulkner Park with our happy passengers. . # #allabilities # #cityofbelmont. .

24.01.2022 recognition of our volunteers, sponsors and supporters - Cycling Without Age Sorrento

19.01.2022 Another exciting development in CWAA’s growth as Ron and Tim customise the 2 new trishaws just arrived in WA. Cycling Without Age - Albany and Cycling Without Age Canning will be the proud owners of these beauties.

18.01.2022 Conversation, Coffee and Community spirit easily flowed today as some of the beautiful residents from Wandana enjoyed a Try A Trishaw event. Kings Park provided the gorgeous backdrop complete with flowering natives and singing birds! In the words of one resident It is so nice to be outdoors and smell the fresh cut lawn and the trees. With a selection of home-made delights, perfect weather and even better company, a great time was had by all

17.01.2022 Community Captain Charene has worked tirelessly to bring the very first Trishaw to #Parramatta as an individual affiliate of Cycling Without Age - Australia Cha...rlene established the Parramatta Chapter earlier this year and is a driver of the #ParraMatch crowd funding campaign https://startsomegood.com/cycling-without-age-parramatta Only 6 days to go. "All or nothing, if we miss the tipping point of $8,000 we lose the pledges and won't be able to pay for Parramatta's very own #Trishaw arriving in January" exclaims Charlene. A team of volunteers have been borrowing Cycling Without Age - Sydney Trishaw for training ready to take passengers early 2021. Cycling Without Age creates opportunities for passengers who are unable to ride to experience connections with others outdoor sharing stories. 15.01.2022 Kent Street Weir was the gorgeous location for our end of year Thank You event for our valuable volunteers held today. It was a great way for our new pilot recruits to meet some of our existing pilots; just another level of community building and friendship formation which is at the core of our program. Thank you to Canning River Cafe for the scrumptious food which was provided out of a successful City of Canning grant fund. We could not exist without the generous time given by our volunteers and the financial support of our Sponsors / Supporters so a huge shout out of THANKS

11.01.2022 We had a wonderful afternoon with Hilda and her grandson Jake on the Cycling without Age trishaw starting out in Esplanade Park Fremantle. We visited the deck a...t Bathers Beach, looked down the Whalers Tunnel and went all the way around to look out from the South Mole Lighthouse. Then down past the submarine in drydock, peeked into the Maritime Museum and watched the kids catching fish off the nearby jetty. Brian (son and dad) then met us at the replica square rigged ship Leeuwin where he told us lots of sailing stories from his time serving on this very ship. Such a delight to have shared an afternoon with Hilda and her family. See more

10.01.2022 Have a Go Day is truly an event worth putting on your calendar each year. The Seniors Recreation Council and their motto of Healthy Ageing Through Activity epitomise the spirit of Cycling Without Age and it has become a key event for us. This year we operated 4 trishaws continuously from 8 until 3, our 8 volunteers gave 65 separate rides that works out at 170km of riding. We carried 99 passengers (not at the same time) next year we hope to make a century! Two experienc...es to highlight (amongst many) were riding with Sheila and Theo, who had been neighbours several decades ago. Their lives separated. When they met again nine years ago both had lost their partners. What surprised Sheila most was how much she shared common interests with Theo. What better way to celebrate their ninth wedding anniversary than on a trishaw ride along the river foreshore at Burswood. On the 11th hour the festive crowd and trishaws stopped and listened to the last post as two 12th Light Horse Regiment soldiers in 1915 dress rode their magnificent horses through the crowd. Both wonderful demonstrations of personal reunion and community remembrance. See more

10.01.2022 It may have been wet and windy but the skies cleared long enough to take some of the attendees at the Citys of Joondalup, Wanneroo and Stirling's Seniors Leadership Program for a quick spin around the park at Burns Beach today. Thanks to Peter and Deb from Cycling Without Age Sorrento for their enthusiasm!

06.01.2022 Coogee Live is an annual event for which we cycle for one and all (not our regular passengers who are unable to cycle themselves). We ferried hundreds of of people between the location of Omeo Wreck and the Jetty with only 1 unhappy customer (see first photo!). We are there tomorrow from 11 to 3 so if you love family and dog friendly community events then be sure to come on down and we will take you for a spin. Lots of activities for all ages and plenty of food and drink v...ans. Had a quick visit from the awesome CoBug riders. #coogeelive #cityofcockburn #CoBug #butlerandbrown #bikefriendlycockburn See more
