Christian has been a long time Sunshine Coast Spartan as a Player, Coach and Committee Member. He has represented both Queensland and Australia as well as being selected to play as an All Star in Hawaii in 2012. We're looking forward to having him Coach and imparting his many years of wisdom to Townsvilles best gridiron team, ...who are hungrier than ever to get after and bring the Reef Bowl Trophy home where it belongs! 11.01.2022 Gridiron Queensland are pleased to announce that we will be RETURNING TO PLAY IN 2020 and will be having a season in both our the South East Queensland and Nort...h Queensland competitions. Our Clubs will be returning to contact training at "Stage 3" on the 10th of July 2020. SEQ will be running a shortened 8 game season over 10 weeks with the first games kicking off on the 26th of September 2020 and finishing on the 28th of November 2020. Unfortunately we will not be having playoffs or the SUNBOWL this year. NQ will run their season as per usual starting on the 31st of October 2020 with the normal 4 week break for the Christmas/New Year period, and recommencing in the second week of January and finishing the season for the highly contested REEFBOWL in mid March 2021. For the safety and well being of our members and guests, and as required by Queensland Health and the Office of Sport and Recreation, all of our Clubs will be operating under strict COVID SAFE PLANS, which include Social Distancing, a Contact Tracing Register, Hand Sanitiser Stations, Good Hygiene Practices, and Restricting the number of people permitted to no more than 100.
